Spent most of the weekend being lazy, lazy, lazy. Watched a lot of David in the Kitchen and ate fried spaghetti in my jams, on the couch, in the snug.
Delightful.
Today, I need to get my butt back into gear. Can't share what I'm working on because it's a gift for Tim and I don't want him to see it on the blog.
In other news, Tim wrapped my gift and since I helped pick it out, I know it's a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. OMG. I never had one before and now all I wanna do is crack that baby open and play, play, play, play, play!
Can't wait to make stuff and share those pictures here. And, now that the work room so so freakin' functional, I've been writing down EVERYTHING I make and bake. Just so easy to do in a proper work room.
In other, other news, I read a lot of blogs lately with some of you sick. Ugh. So sorry. Here's to everyone healing up and getting better. Let's go kick some Monday butt!
Huggs & Bugs, Me
Everyone needs a lazy weekend sometime. I hope you enjoyed yours and are fully charged for the activity to come. Lots of activity to come.
ReplyDeleteI loved it. Was very fun to enjoy the snug and winter weekend!
DeleteA bit of down time is always good. I just find it hard to get to the up time these days. A kitchen aid mixer - hat a dream! I am looking forward to seeing what ou make with it. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Valerie! Huggs back!!
DeleteThat's what weekends for, right? Just enjoy the life :-) We just came back from morning walk...the weather is getting warmer, at least not more -8C...but rainy is not fun at all.
ReplyDeleteLove a nice walk. Very cool Angie!
DeleteSitting around in jammies sounds like a perfect day to me. In fact I would think of extending it thru Monday!!
ReplyDeleteLove your name, Hootin Anni! So fun.
DeleteI love lazy days in my pajamas and eating dinner on the couch :)
ReplyDeleteI've got a craft project that I can't show on my blog because it's for my daughter and she reads my blog.
You get it! Yes, we can't have them seeing what we make them. So true. Thanks, Ann.
DeleteHappy Monday and new week Kitchen aid stand mixers are the best-Larry bought me one when we first retired-back around 2003 I don't use it allot but I should. I did buy the flour grinder attachment years ago when I used to grind up my own gluten free flour. that always worked really well
ReplyDeleteI love making my own flours too! Great fun. I do that in a few tools that I own. Love making seed flours. I saw that KitchenAid has so many attachments. Pretty cool that all models are able to use them. Smart!
DeleteWonderful way to enjoy some weekend downtime. I used to use my kitchen aid all the time, but when I became gluten-free (celiac) I stopped baking and gave mine to my DIL... It's a great machine. Can't wait to see what you make!!
ReplyDeleteOh... why did you stop baking just because of being free from gluten? Do you ever miss the mixer?
DeleteOh you will love your Christmas gift. I had mine out yesterday on my cooking baking bonanza day. Of course I could only bake a few batches as everything else had to chill first, but now I can just bake this week. I hope you share all your yummy treats you make with your mixer. I bet you're excited to get yours. Take care so you don't get sick, and give Bug a scratch for me. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI'm over the moon and can't wait. How's the baking going? I will for sure share stuff that I make here. It's gonna be a whole new toy for me, this mixer. We already named him. His name is Stan and he mixes things! Huggs.
DeleteYou chillin’ day sounds perfect to me! We all need one periodically! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteSuper fun to be chillin'. Have a great week to, Marie!
DeleteA stand mixer! Every baker's dream -- there will be no holding you back now!
ReplyDeleteCannoooooooot wait to play!
Deleteyour day sounds good to me.. can't wait to see what you will create with your new photography table and the new stand to help you create. should have some great recipes and photos
ReplyDeleteRecipes and photos for sure to come! How are you feeling today?
DeleteI cannot imagine what we will see when you open that Christmas gift. Merry Christmas to you and David from an admiring Booger Butt.
ReplyDeleteHey Granny Annie! Thanks for the visit. Wishing you a Happy Christmas Break!
DeleteYour Christmas gift sounds wonderful. I'm a bit jealous. I've always wanted one but have been put off by the price. I'm always worried I wouldn't get my money's worth out of it. I can't wait to see what you bake.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sharon! That's how I felt too for a long time. The price mixed with will I use this tool. Now that I decided to do more dough by machine, I think I will use it. I get it though. It's where I was too.
DeleteIt will be a busy and very very cold week here in Dixie and even worse in the North East
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Stay warm, Cecilia! Huggs, back.
DeleteGreat Christmas gift for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine! Happy Christmas!
