Hello Beautiful Boogerbutts! Here's an old cartoon I did years ago of my cartoon Whisk dressed as THE BEST SUPER HERO EVHAR ... Wonder Woman. So fun.
In other news, I'm THIS close I say, THIS close to getting to unwrap my new KitchenAid Yellow Stand Mixer.OMG. OMG. OMG.
When I tell you that I go to sleep each night dreaming of things to create, that's no lie! Even bought flour, yeast and cinnamon today. Bring on the cinnamon rolls for Christmas weekend.
Speaking of dreaming of cinnamon rolls before bed, I'm soon to crawl into my coffin for the night. Tomorrow the new dryer arrives, which means no more hard crunchy cold dried clothes.
Hot dog.
Chat again soon.
Huggs & Bugs, Me.
You have me want to buy a kitchen aid too! They are just too expensive..
ReplyDeleteOMG, Angie! It is insanely useful. Just made a batch of vegan cookies and they are cooling as I type. Delightful tool. For me, well worth the money. Saves so much time when kneading dough. Happy 2023!
DeleteThe mixer was last Christmas for my sweetie. This year it's a new pressure cooker (the old one is getting close to danger levels of malfunction).
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and yours this holiday season, Ivy.
Hey JB! Happy 2023 to you and the family! I love that you got your sweetie a mixer! My sweetie got me one! Pressure cooker. Yes, I thought I fixed my old one. Turns out no matter what I do it explodes. How did she like the new one your got her?
DeleteShe did NOT like it. Well, she liked the IDEA (she needs a new pressure cooker) but it was one of those fancy electronic jobs and she wants an old school one that sits on the stove (despite our stove starting to go).
DeleteAnd I figured that, but the old fashioned ones are a little tricky to find. We’ve got a handle on it, however…the gift receipt worked fine, and we’re narrowing down the mail order options!
; )
The ones that work on the hob are a nice thing to get too. Far more dangerous for some. Horror stories of food on ceilings and mom's keeping kids out of the kitchen as they use them. That said, old school is always fun to play with. Back when I did research on which way to go, I believe I found an hob one made in the USA, too, if she's still looking.
DeleteNot too many sleeps left now, then you'll be tearing off that wrapping paper.
ReplyDeleteHey River! Happy 2023!
DeleteNearly here - and some delicious fun ahead.
ReplyDeleteLots of fun in this mixer already. Thanks! Happy 2023!
DeleteMerry Christmas! Hope you guys have a great one.
ReplyDeleteHey Dennis! Thank you. Happy Holiday Season to you!
DeleteYellow?! Can´t wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteCinnamon? Here!!
Coffin?! Ingo slept in a "coffin" as kid. It was his Grandma´s drawer they called coffin.
Guess what people thought of Ingo telling he´s going to sleep at...
Oh, thank you. Now I crave a hot dog!
Happy Christmas. I´ll take a Baby Bel now... (blogger again plays games with me)
OMG Iris! It's sooooo pretty. I love the yellow. Pictures coming soon. lololol on Ingo sleeping in a "coffin" Happy Christmas and 2023 to you both!
DeleteLove your Wonder Woman cartoon. I look forward to seeing all that you make with that new mixer. Hooray for new dryer too.
ReplyDeleteHey Ann! The new dryer got put off due to the ice and then arrived that following Monday and I kid you not, I washed and dried EVERYTHING we owned. Happy 2023!
DeleteGood morning loving your cartoon-enjoy your new kitchen aid you will love it
ReplyDeleteHiYa Kathy! Oh my gosh. I love the mixer. Just made a mini batch of vegan cookies. Never made cookies in a stand mixer before. Does a great job. Wow, wow! Happy 2023!
Deletei never would have considered wonder woman on a Christmas card, but she is perfect and makes me smile and feel happy and festive. wooo hoo on the dryer.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hope your holiday rocked. Happy 2023!
DeleteFun art Ivy!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christine! Happy 2023 and boogie boogie.
DeleteYou ARE a Wonder Woman, Ivy! When I was a kid, my Mom dried our wash outside on the line in all seasons of the year. It was always fun to see the hard crunchy clothes, frozen stiff when she brought them in. Enjoy your new dryer! And that stand mixer when you get to open and use it!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, thanks, Debra! You are my Guru Goddess! Thank you for always answering my questions when I need help with stuff. You my friend, ROCK! Hard crunchy clothes. OMG. Yes!
DeleteMy son is begging for a KitchenAid mixer. I give him Christmas money but he spends it on other things. Maybe I will get him one next year or talk his kids into pitching in to get him one. Cannot wait to see all the things you have been dreaming of.
ReplyDeleteHey Granny Annie! I found mine at QVC for a good deal. Though probably other places have it too. Happy 2023!
DeleteOMG :)
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteThat cartoon is really neat. Do you do them for publication or just for you?
ReplyDeleteHey Pam! Thank you. The goal for 2023 is to sell my cartoons on mugs, shirts and other neat things. Something that I've put off for far too long.
DeleteYour cartoon is very good. Soon you will have your new toy.....Today I baked an English Christmas cake, it smells soooo good! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHiYa, Valerie! English Christmas Cake sounds fun! We did Christmas Buns (aka cinnamon rolls). I bet your house smelled good too!
DeleteYou are really being patient. I would have found a way to be using that mixer right now!! Good for you. Love your cartoon.
ReplyDeleteHey Judee! We ended up opening them early in the four-day weekend. Thanks about the cartoon. Happy 2023 and Happy Cooking! PS: Vegan cookies cooling now that I made in the mixer before publishing this post.
DeleteIt looks like Wonder Woman decorated that tree in a snap!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! Thank you. Happy 2023!

ReplyDeleteHey Gayle! Sadly, the snow didn't come and instead the cold did and knocked out heat and water. Ack! Happy 2023 to you and the family!
DeleteOh this weekend sounds like it will be fantastic. I went for 5 month with hard crunchy clothes, hurrah for dryers. And enjoy your new Mixer. Share some of cookies please. Merry Christmas. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIt would have been wonderful only the heat and water went out. Ouch on the crunchy clothes. You get it! It's not fun. Funny you mentioned cookies. I just made a test vegan batch today with the mixer.
DeleteMerry Christmas. I hope you have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary! Happy 2023! Whoosh go the years, I tell you.

ReplyDeleteThank you!!!!
DeleteStopping by to wish you a Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you for the visit. I took a little holiday break. Hope your holiday was wonderful and that you got to see the kiddos!
DeleteHappy new year!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2023!
DeleteYou sure do have a lot of nice new things coming - dreaming of cinnamon rolls too!
ReplyDeleteHiYa! Happy 2023 and thanks for stopping in. Cheers, Ivy.
DeleteYou got a KitchenAid mixer for Christmas! Yay! So I'm guessing you do a lot of baking then, huh? (New here, and clueless.) Since I don't work anymore I've been wanting to get back to baking more. I had a whole mental drama leading up to Christmas about wanting a KitchenAid. I would put it on my wish list, then take it off, put it back on, take it off again. The mental argument was: will having it help me bake more, or do I need to bake more first to prove I deserve this? lol In the end, I left it off my list and I did not get one.
ReplyDeleteLots and lots of writing formulas for bakes. Yes! I love it. Oh my gosh, the KitchenAid is so fun. For a long time I didn't get one because I wasn't sure if I would use the actual machine enough. OMG, it's the best. I went with the bowl lift because I dough a lot of heavy dough. If you're into dough this is a great tool! So helpful. If you find yourself a good deal, it might be worth it. So so so so so much fun. Cheers, Ivy.
