144 SUBS & NEW LAB (hot dog!)

Hey Guys! Guess what? We ordered my new kitchen/lab which means overhead videos and a HUGE toy shelf for my baking stuff. Best part, we paid for the entire lot from change that we saved during the year.

How flippin' cool is that?

PS: Videos & groovy links, below.

  1. Very cool! We've been wanting an air fryer but I had no idea it could cook so many things.

    1. It's really a fun toy and so many things to cook, bake or "fry" in them. Really fun. QVC has all kinds of colours if you're wife is into that. Once I saw this one Tim said, "Oh, you're done." As in, my year-long hunt was over. They had my colour.

  3. Yay! Saving change pays off! I save my change too and roll it (ideally) once a year or (realistically) once every 2 or 3 years.

    1. Wow wow. 2 or 3 years would be a lot of good change to play with. Love that. What do you do with yours once the change is counted?

    1. Oh my gosh, Cheri. I know it's just a fan oven but it's so fun to play with. Hope you get one. Check out the show notes if you're on the hunt. Those other youtubers have some neat models. But I couldn't see those once I saw this colour. Mind blown.

  8. At first when I saw new lab in the blog post title, I thought you were getting a puppy :-) But an air fryer seems pretty cool too.

    1. Oh my gosh, I wish you lived closer and I would have you over. This thing makes killer apple hand-pies. And I thought of you the other day when I saw someone make cauliflower tater tots.

    1. Sure thing, Gayle. It's great fun and cooks up vegan meats pretty good if your daughter is looking. The mock chicken patties not so good but so far the other stuff, very good. Crispy outside and soft inside.

  12. Well done! I'd love a new kitchen, but I don't own this place, so I'll make do. I don't cook anywhere near as much as I used to when I had the four kids running around anyway.

    1. Hi River. It's not a fully new kitchen. We have some floor damage that needs attention. But this will be a new kitchen for me. If that makes sense. What do you like to cook these days? Any baking?

  13. I like the idea of the air fryer but don't think I will shell out for one. Don't fry a lot anyway.

    1. I sat on it for a year because of the price and ... I really wasn't all the way sold yet. But I tell you, there are so many things to be made, well beyond the onion rings, chips/fries and tater tots. Really, really fun toy.

    1. Agreeded. And maybe video chat, too. I am excited to hear more about your new home. A friend and I just started using dropox. Do you have that?

    2. I've never even heard of it! But then there I'm way out of touch with a lot of these things. So much of it out there. I'll have to look this one up. I'm curious now.

    3. It's pretty cool. We can share videos and pictures, privately. I know we can do this in email too. But dropbox is just drop it in folder that you and I only share. A friend of mine got me into it because her daughter lives out of state from her right now. So they share photos and stuff through Dropbox. So her and I started doing it as well. Tim uses it with his gaming buddies.

    1. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Oh my gosh, I am loving the air fryer. I still cannot get raw broccoli to cook right but that's okay.

If you check out my show notes, there's a few different folks who have different machines and do small reviews of pros and cons. I totally went with QVC for the price, free shipping, five bucks off but MOSTLY .. the colour. So true.

If I can be of any help, just drop me an email or ask me here. Or, go to COOKINGWITHDOUG, he's an air fry king. For sure.

  19. These are great videos, Ivy - and like Magic Love Crow, above, I love your excitement - very contagious! And I laughed at the end of the second video where you say "be right back" and then we see the note saying you never made it back :)

Air frying isn't something I'm familiar with so it was good to see some of the things you can do. Sounds like a useful, healthy-cooking appliance.

    1. Thanks, Jenny. Glad you enjoyed it. I meant to come back but I done near lost my mind with this new toy.

I am most amazed at how little to no oil that is needed, yet crispy outside and creamy inside. Great little oven.
