Winter Mode

I had such a fun day at work.  Rah.

And tonight the living room goes into winter mode. We do this twice a year.  In the fall we make the space cozy and warm.  And in the spring, open and airy.

Then tomorrow is the fall equinox or if you rather, autumnal.  Either way, it's a holiday for me.  Only this year, I forgot to request off.  But ... I only work until noon.

Not too shabby.

That's about all from me.  Suppose I should be getting to my chores.  Hope you're all well.  Have a groovy first day of fall or spring, depending on where you live.

But before I log out, here's another photo of Bug.

  1. The photos aren't showing up on my computer, but the one on your sidebar is. She's a cutie! I always think pets are happier with another of their kind to play with, so way to go!! (And the basset on my blog today isn't mine--he belongs to friends, which is just fine. Bassets need their ears cleaned all the time.) Happy fall to you too!

  2. MG Higgins: Thanks for letting me know. I had to delete the blog for another fix and now I think I fixed this. Hope so anyway.

It is nice when they have each other. Do you have a dog or cat or any pets?

  3. Yep, with the crisp nights of autumn upon us, Mrs. Bard and I pulled out the comforter and threw it on the bed last night.

  4. Bug looks cute!

I'm not supposed to mention the W word. Seems I have to put a quarter in a cuss jar every time I get to talking about the best weather of the year.

  6. Awww, so cute. Yep, the photo works just fine. We have to cats and they're brothers, so they're very close.

  8. Bard: I love crisp autumn nights and big comforters. Sounds like a good way to bring in the new season. All snuggled and warm.

William: I think she looks cute too.

A quarter in the cuss jar for saying the W word. That's a good one. Do you like winter? I enjoy it. Especially if we don't have to go anywhere and we both have off from our jobs.

Flea: I know, I can't believe it either. It's like I blinked, and summer was gone.

MG Higgins: Thanks. Glad it's working. I pulled the images off and re-posted them. Two boy cats. I love that they are very close. It's nice to see that in Wiggy and Bug, as well.

mshatch: Thank you. Enjoy your equinox as well. Hope you do something fun. It's a holiday for me and I love it.

  11. Autumn is cool, in more ways than atmospherically.

  13. Carol: It's hard not to have fun in prep.

Daisey: Lots of rain here today but we'll still go for our walk, now that I'm home from the restaurant. Hope you have a great holiday as well.

Porky: I love this season. But really, they are all good. I'm even looking forward to winter.

Johnathan: And a Happy Holiday to you.
