WORDLESS WEDNESDAY #14 (only it's really hard to have no words two weeks in a row, so there's that. Also I started a new hobby ... again)

Is that a long blog title or what? I'm making up for lost words.

In other news, over our 11-day Christmas Staycation I got taller legs for my bench and now my dough station is in constant use. I'm a noodle-making mad scientist with dried noodles everywhere, just like I learned from my Mamam (pronounced, Mum Mum).

Here's a photo of some of my noodles. I never use eggs in my dough. I use things like parsley, yams, potatoes, sprouted spelt, beets, 00 flour, semolina, bean flours, lentil flour, sorghum, millet, quinoa and more.

Crazy fun.

For those interested, Pasta Grannies on YouTube is an excellent show. Clicking the words Pasta Grannies goes to the channel where Nonna's are filmed kneading, rolling, filling and shaping all kinds of pasta.

I LOVE this channel.

In other, other news, shown in the last photo, I started a new hobby ...

  3. These are great and I bet they taste it too. Can’t wait to see what you are making next. This is Denise by the way. I am using my laptop that signs me in as anonymous. I haven’t got it sorted out yet. http://anenglishgirlrambles2016.blogspot.com

  4. Oh, they're so beautiful!
And I'm sure they're delicious too.
It's almost like quilting; once you start, you can't stop... the best part is, you just keep getting better.
    Hug and thank you.

  5. Candle making, a good hobby, I burn a lot of candles for some reason, more so in winter than in summer.
I do love and admire your pasta you made, well done.

  6. I am totally IMPRESSED! The pasta looks beautiful in the photo and I am thinking this would be so good for my IBS diet.. I can barely cook pasta someone else makes, so the idea of making it is not anything I could do... you can burn the candles while you photograph the pasta you make, and now I ponder what will come next after the candles... you are sooo talented.. color me jealous

  7. Pasta looks great. My wife has made homemade pasta before but she's never dried it, we just cooked and ate it right away. I'll tell her about that channel.

  8. I have never made my own pasta. Yours looks good, such a nice variety.
Candle making sounds like fun. I remember when I was growing up I got a candle making kit for Christmas one year. My brother used to make his own candles.

  9. I love making pasta and I have been watching Pasta Grannies for a long time. I just wish I could visit and cook with some of them. I need to start making my own candles, how fun. The wood wick ones are the best. Have a great day my friend!!
