JASON vs THE NUN (coming to a blogfeed near you)

Dig these two minis from the Halloween calendar (from my recent Wordless Wednesday post). Tonight we'll open two more and then on Halloween Friday, we get one more to open.

So. Much. Fun.

In other news, yesterday I shot macro inside in the new studio space (pictures to come) AND I used the big honking off-camera flash. She's so big that I've named her Big Bertha.

She's a beast.

In other news, I am moving sllloooooooooow today. It's almost noon and I haven't gotten one ding, dong, thing done. Unless getting out of old jammies and back into new jammies and making a cuppa and writing a blog post counts.

I don't think it does. Unless ... I add those things to my TO BOO LIST and then scratch them off as done.

Yes. Yes, I can work with that.

Here's mini Jason and The Nun. Had a bunch of fun shooting them this past week and I'm excited to see who we open tonight. Lots of pictures to come, for sure.

For now, boogie boogie, Boogerbutts - Here's to a spooktacular weekend.

    1. Hi Sue! Much thanks. So ... we got Lidia Deets and Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street. That I believe leaves us with a vampire from Lost Boys last. Really fun it was this month and last. I never even knew these calendars were a thing, now I see them all over. 🎃

    1. Hey Ginny! Really, really, really fun. It's been cold here for a bit now with the heat on (and then those odd late afternoons with the air on). I'm not sure. Last week a few nights I just wasn't sleeping all the way through. Will try this week coming, to be better and sleeping again. Happy Halloween Week 👻

  27. Hi Ivy, there’s nothing “wrong” about staying in PJs all day, which in our case means flannel pants and we have been known to do that often. Your Halloween creations are great fun and Big Bertha and you are doing great! In the future can you post a photo of your camera as well?

    1. I love flannels too. Though I currently only have a top and no longer any flannel bottoms. Though with the deals coming up, new flannels may find their way back.

Was there something I can help answer about the camera? I have two different cameras though the one that took these photos is called a Canon M50, sadly now discontinued. Honestly though, camera bodies come and go. The lens I used here is called a Laowa macro lens along with a speedlight and modifier (mini soft box).

Is there something particular I can help you with? Answer any questions?

  28. Hello Ivy
Many thanks for all your lovely thoughts and comments on the low carb diabetic.
I'm pleased to be back online now and being able to catch up with you, and all my other blogland friends.

Can Jason and The Nun be scary and cute at the same time? I think they can and are!
    Great photograph.
