I'M NOT SAYING I BOUGHT A NEW LENS (but I'm not saying I didn't)

I'm in a goofy mood. I dunno if it's the sunshine, the bagels, the minis, that vacation starts Friday, the homemade photography board, OR that in TWO MORE sleeps my new 12mm Rokinon/Samyang fully manual lens, arrives.

For 200 smackers, this lens can do astrophotography, liminal space photography, is a good walk around lens AND can even shoot close up with a little funky character to boot. This is not a clinical lens.

This is a play lens.

TWO MORE SLEEPS.

PS: If you're wondering if a Minion can fit inside a bagel hole, why yes. Yes he can. If you're further wondering if Thing can sit on top of Potato Man's head without falling off ....

Also a yes.

  2. Girl...you know you bought that new lens and I love that you are having so much fun with all of your photography... I've kinda put my lens and camera on hold until after I know more about what we have ahead of us with Sam's medical needs. In the meantime, I'm gonna keep watching you take amazing pictures and totally enjoying what you do. Can't wait to see the minion inside of the bagel.... Have Fun!!!

That's understandable about Sam's health. Sending you lots of love and huggs along with a Minion in a bagel!

  6. I remember way back to the 80s when my mum went nuts buying lenses that could do weird things, like put rainbows in photos or take one shot and the photo would come out with three overlapping images. She loved it, I hated it. But I think I would love a lens that can do astrophotography.

  25. Back in the days of 35mm SLR photography and later digital photography I can well remember HOW excited I was to get a new pens, filter or some other piece of equipment so I know how you feel, Ivy. Wishing you a lot of fun and photos and looking forward to your sharing here. These days, I have far less equipment than years ago, just a couple of compact cameras and no extra lenses.

    1. I recall the day before DSLRs. I had those cameras as well. They were fun too. Did you sell your old kit? The mirrorless I have is compact though can also change lenses. Very nice to carry about.

Thanks for stopping in and boogie boogie.
