ZOMBIE CRAWL (now with more yarn)

So guess what? Yesterday after writing, I took a yarn break and then I yanked all the camera/video gear out of the kitchen. I didn't like it in there. Actually, that's a lie. I HATED it in there.

Hated it.

Now, I love my kitchen again. I still have stuff to move back into place and then fix one of the walls and that's okay. Gonna be a cold overcast weekend. Perfect for indoor projects. Unless I score some new yarn then all bets are off.

In other news, the book writing is going well. It's wonderful to be pointed at something. Each morning before the sun comes up, I zombie crawl myself from coffin to writing desk and I'm over the moon that I've not talked myself out of this project.

And in other, other news, I'm meeting up with a girlfriend for lunch and then stop at the yarn store to take a little spin. Ya' know just a little spin. Just to see.

Just in case there's new yarn arrivals. Because well, you know, I gotzta.

And that my Boogerbutts is all that's fit to print. Bring on the weekend. I'm ready!

  1. Hmmm. I have a good feeling that you might end up bringing home a few more spools of yarn. So, maybe the project for the weekend will end up being full of yarn projects. Excited to read your finished project...Happy Friday to you...enjoy the lunch.

    1. Thank you, Mari. I was there the other day and the sales were still on the stinky side. I'm hoping today they might be better and if so, I'm gonna grab me some fun yarns. Muwhahahahaha.

    1. Bake book. Some Cooking. Some fermentation. I don't have pictures of the before or after. I wish I'd thought of that. Thanks about the yarn. I ended up with not one thing. I was shocked but ... so far, nothing worth buying. Maybe next week. Right now it's still only 25% off at JF and Hobby Lobby does better than that every other week with their 30%.

  6. Good for you sticking with the book writing. You'll have that finished in no time. Lunch with a friend is always fun and even better stopping at the yarn shop afterwards.

  9. You a busy and happy whisk:). Hope you find some new yarns. Working on getting two afghans done here - for twin grands headed off to college in the fall. Hope they are done before they graduate:)

    1. I found a pretty purple/lilac that looks fun to play with only was too expensive given the type of yarn, etc. Exciting on your afghans. That's a fun project, two projects. Great gift to give to the kiddos in the fall. Love that.

  11. Those walk through yarn stores are dangerous, at least for me. I hope you have fun. And I wouldn't like all the camera gear in my kitchen either. But then I like to cook for fun and business and that makes a difference. I'm glad you're happy to yank it out, and I hope you have fun in the kitchen or playing with yarn this weekend.

    1. Hey Erika. Yeah, it was video camera gear that I've tried twice to keep up all the time and I just don't like it. Video isn't at this time, more important than a fully functional kitchen. I love to cook and bake for fun, I don't want video gear all about when I'm writing a new formula and playing mad scientist baker. Hope your weekend was fun.

  13. I actually gace away all the yarn I found when cleaning out a cupboard recently. i can't knit more than a few rows without my knuckles seizing up these days, so I gave it all to my daughters best friend with loves knitiing and crochet and is quite skilled at it.

    1. I did the same in 2016, gave all yarn and needles away because I couldn't yarn anymore either. Is there anything you can do for your knuckles?

  16. Yarn, been working on another scrap afghan. Almost done with it. It will be a Christmas gift for my adopted grandson, his wife, Evie and Beckman. Wow, what is your book about? I have always wanted to do write one, already have the name but I can't seem to get it going. Forgotten all I learned in school about writing a book, outlining it and so on and so forth. Best of luck on yours!

    1. Love the scrap afghan. Very cool that you're almost done with it. What a great Christmas gift.

Bake/cooking book from all the playing I do in the kitchen.

Love that you have a name. Have you tried ass in chair method to get yours started? It's when the writer puts ass in chair and just starts to vomit all over the page with words. Let is all out.

  19. Well done for being brave and kicking stuff out of your kitchen that wasn't making you happy and also not buying more yarn. How good are you!! Hope you had a fun time with your friend.
    Have a great week.

    1. I tell you the truth. Kicking stuff out and/or changing things up to make them work is a normal thing around these them parts. If it doesn't work, I try to find a better solution. For me, video camera gear in the kitchen, that I've tried twice as a permanent thing, doesn't work. Just in the way when not filming. New solution on the way.

Not good enough sales on the yarn yet. I'll keep an eye out as they had a fun purple/lilac that looks fun to work with.

    1. Hey Donna. I didn't actually need me time. Just wanted to check out the sales of which, nonesville city. Well, they had them. 25% off. Other stores do better so I kept my dough for another day. I'll head back there another day this week to see if the sales are better.

    God bless.

    1. So glad you scored good fabric. Last weekend when I went back, the yarn was high, even at 25% off, the other store does better every other week at 30% off so I passed. Still was fun to go. I love a nice walkabout. Happy sewing to you.
