IT. FEELS. SO. GOOD.

The good news is all last week I worked on the bake book as in, sat at the writing desk and actually wrote for publication instead of mad scientist notes in the kitchen. I have a lot of notes so ya' know what I did? I didn't look at any of those.

Nopers.

To start, I grabbed the laptop and typed up what I made the night before, including method and tools used. I haven't done photos yet to go with each and that's okay. That'll come.

The bad news is, I'm not on Blogger as much, some chores have also sorta not gotten done and making video is on the back burner. That's okay too. Those'll come.

Is those'll a word? I really don't know? But I did make myself giggle as I write this.

What's really nice is the change inside of me. Instead of thinking, who will buy this? Why do this when there's so many non-dairy, no-egg bake books out there? Then circling back to who will buy this? Why write this? Forget that nonsense. I don't care. Right now I'm back to waking before the sun, ass in chair and doing the writing.

I had no idea I had so much to say about food. My gosh I do.

It feels like I'm on the other side. The why and who, told to sit quietly in the corner, because I'm busy in the other corner, writing.

It. Feels. So. Good.

In other news, I'm yarning in the evenings and yesterday I ran out of yellow yarn. Thankfully I got it on sale last week at Hobby Lobby. They have yarn 30 percent off every other week. All yarn. Not just certain yarns or weird deals like Michaels and the soon-to-be-gone, JoAnn Fabrics. I'm sad for the workers of JF but I hated their yarn sales or that most of the time, my yarn rung up wrong at checkout. At Hobby Lobby, it's 30 percent off. No fuss, no muss.

I love that.

In other, other news, I also went back to reading in bed. There's this whole Kindle mess that happened last month which lead me to find Project Gutenberg which I never heard of, and now I'm reading Agatha Christie for the first time, up next Sherlock. For free, on ANY digital device I fancy.

How fun is that?

Alrighty Boogerbutts. I'm headed to the kitchen to check on the bagel dough. Making plain and pretzel bagels. So stinkin' good. I'll be around a bit later to catch up on blogs. Just need to get some baking done, declutter the bowl category and if time, the pens/markers/pencil category as well. Then tomorrow before the sun comes up, it's back at the writing desk to write up the bagel recipe and method.

Hot dog. Look at me. I'm really doing this.

It. Feels. So. Good.

Catch you guys again soon.

Huggs & Bugs, Me.

PS: More on the MASS declutter coming to a blog post soon.

    1. Thank you, Alex! Love that she loves Hobby Lobby too. Even with JF sales on what is left of yarn, HL still beats them in prices. When the 30% week is on.

  13. "Those'll" is better as a spoken word and looks weird when typed but it's still an acceptable word.
Kindle Mess? I have my own kindle mess going on. For years I have had books lists from "BookBub" emailed to me, I download the ones I want and then transfer to the kindle via usb cord, now the "download and transfer" option is no longer available, they have "deliver and----" something I can't remember just now, but apparently my kindle suddenly isn't connected to wifi and I have to enter the password to connect. Think I can remember the password? Heck no. When I set it up originally I didn't think it would ever disconnect on its own so I never wrote down that password and I have tried ALL my passwords and none of them are the right one. Luckily for me, the kindle still has 334 books on it and eventually I'll take the laptop and kindle to my genius daughter who will sort it out for me.

    1. Kindle/Amazon bugged me with this. I was able to download all books onto my computer before the deadline. Moving forward if you wanted to bye books from Kobo or get free books Project Gutenberg, the kindle can be plugged into the computer and those books easily drag and drop into the Kindle (once opened on your computer through USB). So there's that option for you if you wish. For me, it's unlikely I'll buy from Amazon again. I'm not interested in being forced into just their eco system. I won't give away my Kindle, it still works with other book sellers and free options.

    1. Hey Debra! It is. I agree. And this life is too short. Blink and we're dead. So why not jump in and enjoy the ride. lol on the mad scientist. Yes! Funny. PS: Great photo of the stature. You captured her well.

  16. Good for you!! It's always nice to have something that makes us want to jump out of bed every morning.

    1. lol on the jumping. I admit, I drag my tired self out of the coffin in the dark hours of the morning and pull my legs down the hall to the writing desk. Once there I love it and I know that when my tired self doesn't want to get up that my future self will thank me in about ten minutes.

Best to you on your herb garden. I like using them as medicine as well. Very, very good stuff.

    1. It is. Though they truly did this to themselves, once a vibrant fun creative place to be, switched out for cold remodels and ugly shirts. They used to be able to have aprons decorated and shirts they decorated or sewed. To me, once corporate removed the soul, it was only a matter of years before the store crashed. That said, I feel bad for the workers.

    1. How far is your Hobby Lobby? Excellent on your upcoming bakes. For the bagels, I just made regular bagel dough and then at the end, I pretzel them up. Love that you tap your own trees. I'm jelly. What fun that sounds.

    3. Oh yeah, that is a longer ride, eh? I get that. Though sometimes Hubby and I will travel out to a new town that's about an hour or so away just for the day to see what's there. It's fun when it's not winter, to do. Have you guys ever done that?

  19. Don't let those bad words get to you. Go for it. Life is good at getting in the way, isn't it? I've been reading Agatha Christie since I was a teenager. They're (most of them at least) super books. I even reread them now. Enjoy. An have a super rest of your week. hugs-Erika

  20. So pleased things are going well with the writing. That is going to be one cool cook book. I'm also glad that you are writing because you enjoy it and not whether anyone else wants to read it ( which of course we will).
Have a great weekend and enjoy which ever book you are currently reading in bed. Happy days x
