CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY

Hello lovely dovelies and welcome to another post. I'm Ivy reporting live from the kitchen table. Where outside the sliding glass doors, it's snowing and cold as balls.

I really don't know how cold balls are. I guess that just depends.

In other news, I hit HomeGoods/HomeSense for photography napkins. I LOVE these green napkins. Can't wait to play. Think, light and airy photoshoot.

Also snagged this bigger-than-my-head, made in Italy stoneware plate. Love it, love it, love it. My instant reaction to holding this plate is, I can't wait to put food on it.

Thanks to Beginner Bootcamp (at The Bite Shot), and School of Chocolate (on Netflix), I now own black plates. Made in Portugal, eleven bucks for both. Think, dark and moody food photography.

Cannot wait to play.

And that's me, reporting live from the kitchen which by the by, I woke to a cleaned-off and mess-free kitchen table two days in a row now. That's right. I'm hot stuff and I know it.

Catch you Boogerbutts on the flip side.

Huggs and bugs, Me.

It's about time to put some homemade blueberry oat and spelt waffles on these plates. Yum!

  9. Those napkins have the look of Spring:). We are drooling for waffles with blueberries too. Mom says Home Goods can rob a lot of her green papers - too many awesome items to choose.

    1. The smaller black on holds on big round waffle. The big honkin' white plate, held a veggie burger, tator tots and thick cucumber slices with PLENTY of room left. I LOVE that plate.

  14. The plates are gorgeous. I've given up on napkins and use facewashers (washcloths, flannels, whatever you call them) instead. No ironing needed for those and they're cheap.

    1. Hey River. These are similar in that they can be washed. Cotton photography napkins. Ironing? What is this word you speak, ironing? Iol.

  30. What a delight you are, Ivy! While I've little talent for either cooking or photography, since retiring I've an exaggerated fondness for tableware - and cloth napkins in particular. I've no idea whatever happened to the napkin rings my parents bought home from Germany back 1957 -- except that Daddy, mother and I each had our own .... and I miss that.

    1. I love, love, love this story. I love that you each had your own rings. That's a special memory. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks for stopping by. Cheers, Ivy.

Thank you for following my blog. I know I will enjoy following yours. It's such a happy place, and I can hardly wait to see the black plates being used and photographed with food on them, and your lovely new napkins on the table. You have good taste buying the plates in Portugal, helping the Portuguese economy. and spreading the word.:)) Just joking but I know you will enjoy them. I'll be back!
