CONTENT CREATOR (that's me)

For me, it's not creating that's an issue. Creating content comes natural and easy for me. Plus, I'm never going to only write, draw, podcast, make videos or write the science behind allergy-friendly air-fry bakes.

I'm always gonna have my hands in various projects at once. I enjoy the work a great deal with no plans to stop.

But ... as I start to build my brand, I want that whitebox (like back when I decluttered), I want that main platform to drive at (with the other platforms in support). And I think... I very much think, I figured it out. But that's a podcast for another day.

For today, please have a listen to, I'M UNCOMFORTABLE - much thanks and boogie boogie.

    1. Hi Alex!

That one main platform is what I'm after. And the reset can serve it. Which affords me lots of creative space to share my content without that feeling of, where's my home. Where's my whitebox. And, I think I found it. So we’ll see how it goes. More on that in another cast.

Thanks for stopping by and boogie boogie.

  3. Love that your creativity is an integral part of who you are.
Self promotion? A tricky (and challenging) area for many.
    Good luck.
I prefer to fly under the radar so even if I had anything to promote I would struggle on that front.

    1. Thanks. It really is and has been since before starting school (so family tells me).

Yeah, right? That self-promotion is a funny beast. I used to think never but now I'm getting more and more comfortable and in part because I'm talking about it. I'm tossing it out there and that helps.

And in part because I want this business to work and I want to make this my job. Sharing my formulas.

Thanks for taking the time to listen. That's super cool of you.

Hope the fruit salad you made this weekend was kick butt good!

  4. Hey Ivy, nice that you put your podcast here on your blog! Very nice. :)

I know how you feel about self-promotion. I'm very uncomfortable with it. Even on my main blog, when I write that I have a new cheese post on my other one, I feel weird writing that lol...it'll come with practice right?

"Don't be dumb" lol lol lol...I will make that my motto for today too ha ha!

Keep talking Ivy, keep putting up your podcasts...even if you don't get all the listeners you want, it's very encouraging and it builds confidence, you're doing well! I followed a bunch of You Tubers then suddenly (seemingly) overnight they gained thousands of viewers, so you just never know. Keep at it!!!

    1. I think so yes, with the more I do it the more that scary monster called, Self-Promotion is not so scary. I love reading about your cheese-adventures!! Even though I can't eat it without my throat closing, I still love seeing the bunches of things that you do!

Don't be dumb, that made me giggle too.

Thank you for you thoughtful comment. Very cool. Loved your snow posts on Instagram today. That's our kind of snow, here. Burrr.

    1. Hi Jenn!

Thanks so much. Very true, it's a journey for sure. Thanks for being a part of it.

PS: Tim wants me to do my Whisk girl on merch and I like that idea very much.

    2. I like that idea too, kitchen ware and tea towels with little whisk figures on them :)

  7. I listened to about half your podcast and applaud you for making them, it's something I would never do. I'm uncomfortable promoting myself too, for instance I've been writing stories on my blog for years now and a couple here at home that haven't made it to the blog, but I don't tell people, I don't want to seem as if I'm bragging, I suppose.

    1. Thanks, River. I was just at your page. Happy remodeling. I thought about doing that here to a large extent but now I'm just gonna do a mini remodel here. Love your new comments form.

I wish you would tell us and share it. That's why I show up to your page. To read about you and the thing you're into, create and love.

  11. Hi Ivy, thanks for sharing your podcast.

As the old saying goes - you've got to do what you want to do and be who you want to be, and just go for it... you've already got many fans behind you, willing you on.

    My good wishes

    All the best Jan

  13. Thanks for sharing your podcast! I know what you mean about wanting everything in one place. I have toyed with the idea of starting a second blog, but then I felt overwhelmed by the thought of maintaining both sites.

    1. Hi Angela. Two blogs I tried too, didn't like it and never posted on the other one.

How about one dot com for your stuff? That's what I'm going with. It gives me my own place and, I don't have to rely on google.

      Do you have a podcast?

    1. Thanks for listening. I tell you the truth, I'm done with that way of thinking. I pushed past the uncomfortable stuff - which really - it's just clutter to me. Well, who needs that?

      Not me.

      GOODBYE SCARY MONSTER

Took me a long time to say goodbye to him and he's not coming back. Here's to saying goodbye and getting your stuff out there. You've got so much wonderful stuff to share and, you write books about it. People gotta know about it. They just gotta, I say. Gotta!

It's like me with my art. I'm starting to explore other things now.
I don't know which platform to go with either.
    Be comfortable girl! You're amazing!

    1. Hey Stacy! It is a weird thing for sure. But I tell ya, I said GOODBYE SCARY MONSTER and found a new home for my stuff - rather than having YouTube be my main platform, my new site will be my main platform. I don’t trust google with all their taking away of stuff recently.

How about you? Do you have a store page? Tim made a new website and with it, he got a store for his stuff. Any plans for your stuff like that?
