The goal was to make these last night and tell you what I thought. But I was out longer than planned and when I got home, I plumb forgot. Instead, we each had a BIG bowl of steamed potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli. Then I made a wholemeal spelt flatbread thingy. It was yummy.
But I digress ....
Let's get to Friday's Question.
No I never have. I do eat bean sprouts
ReplyDeleteYum to the sprouts.
DeleteI don't think I ever have...
ReplyDeleteMe either, but soon.
DeleteThis just made me super hungry for some steamed vegetables. I wish I had some. I'll have to settle for some oatmeal. I don't even know what a mung bean is...let me ask Lord Google...BRB....nope, can't say that I have but I've eaten bean sprouts and they're delicious!
ReplyDeleteLove oatmeal. Do you ever mash a banana in yours? Oh my yum. Love that.
DeleteNo mung beans...but a big bowl of steamed potatoes sounds good!
ReplyDeleteThe big bowl was simple and yummy. That best combo.
DeleteNo, I do not believe that I have ever knowingly eaten mung beans.
ReplyDeleteMe either.
DeleteNever heard of mung beans, although that doesn't mean I've never eaten them. Someone could have snuck some in my salad a long time ago (because it's been awhile since I've had a salad at a restaurant).
ReplyDeleteWhat is this word you speak ... restaurant?
DeleteI've never heard of them, but then I'm not a fan of beans.
ReplyDeleteNo pecans and no beans? Oh, you're killing me :-)
DeleteNope, well, not that I know of! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna try them with supper.
DeleteNo mung beans, but yes to bean sprouts--those are nice and crunchy!
ReplyDeleteLove the crunch of a sprout.
DeleteYup. Love the whole family.
ReplyDeleteMind you a cat we had a long time ago used to say (very clearly) mung, mung, mung when she was displeased with us.
It is now a family phrase.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I love that your cat said that. How funny. Pets are the best.
DeleteNope, never eaten the actual beans as far as I know.
ReplyDeleteMe either but they really pack a bunch of goodness, so I bought them.
DeleteI only eat such beans when I'm a mung friends :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha :-)
DeleteI don't even know what they are! Are they tasty? They must be since you like them.
ReplyDeleteI finally made them and did enjoy them. But I'm still learning how to cook them. I felt they were too hard based on the package 1 part mung 3 part liquid. So I added more. Ate them again today. Filling without any allergic reaction or belly bloat.
DeleteHope your Sunday is kick-ass good.
Are they good fried? Or what about dipped in Nutella?
ReplyDeleteI like mine mixed with fried ants.
DeleteCan't say that I have but plenty of cauliflower and broccoli...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I'm not a low-carber, but I eat lots of cauliflower and broccoli. But then, I eat lots of wholefoods.
