I CAN ALREADY TELL ....

Who's ready to kick some serious butt this week? I am. Then on Friday, two teeth get yanked from my head.

That'll be fun.

Even still, I can already tell ....

  1. I recently had a tooth pulled. And nowadays, there is nothing to it. They even offered me laughing gas! Afterward, treat yourself to a milkshake!

    1. Hey Ginny. Glad that yours went well. That's always nice! Mine had a few hiccups. Ended up getting one yanked and the other needs to go to a specialist.

Once I was able to eat, I had THE BEST watermelon in the history of ever. OMG. Sooooo good.

      Happy Weekend and boogie boogie.

    2. PS: No laughing gas was offered. Went with injections. No pain. Woohoo!

  2. Hope it didn't hurt too much with the numbness of an injection.

    1. Thanks, Ann. I managed to get the house cleaned before the visit and today it was lovely. Week was good. Now I'd like July though to move slllooooooooower than June because where the heck did June go? No idea. Whoosh.

    1. Yep, Alex. That's the ideal. Not everyone can do that though. Had it done today. A few hiccups. The other tooth wasn't pulled and will get seen by a specialist. No pain though so that's a wonderful thing. Hopefully no more infection either. That also will be a wonderful thing. Fingers crossed.

  6. I am happy to hear you are excited about the new week. I have high hopes myself.
Sorry about the teeth. I've been through it recently. You'll be fine, just prepare as much soft food as possible before your appointment. I indulged quite a bit on homemade chocolate pudding when I had my two pulled. Big hugs!!

    1. Thanks, Lori. I'll take that big hug. Was a good week. Just went tooooooo fast. Can it just slow down a bit. Even got the house nice and clean so that the morning of (today), would be a breeze. I love that feeling. Felt like Christmas with everything tidy.

Went with some WONDERFUL watermelon once I could eat today. Sooooo good. Then I have dairy-free homemade ice creams ready to pop into the Ninja Creami later. And also ... soup made and ... spuds for yummy mashed potatoes. Didn't make hummus. Thought I would.

Thanks again and Happy Weekend with a great big side of boogie boogie.

  7. Ewwww, dentist stuff! That is scary. Yep, the week could be good depending on if a person in the Midwest had AC.
Hope the dental work goes well. I had one pulled it was $150 vs $2K to have it fixed or replaced. We all have to make choices!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Helloooooooo Val! Not having AC can for sure be a rough one during a week of hotter than hot. Agreed. Yesterday I installed the bedroom air unit and then closed off the sun in some of the windows. Really helped. But I remember being a kid and never having air.

Tooth yanking came with a few hiccups. One tooth needs to be seen to a specialist. So one out, one to go BUT ... this should, should, should be the end of my very long infection of on and off yuckness. Or is it yuckiness?

I hear you on the cost. It's amazing the difference in the two. So true on the choices. I'm happy we have them. For sure. Wishing you a groovy weekend. Thanks for stopping in and sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Yes, I just learned about the without a straw thing today. Interesting to know. Thank you. I don't do dairy BUT one I was able to eat I had THE BEST fresh watermelon. My gosh. So gooooood. Thanks for the visit and Happy Weekend!!!!

    1. Thank you, Beatrice. Yes, money and time for sure. Overall went okay. Just a few hiccups and one of the teeth needs to see a specialist. A few days before the yankings, I got a BIG watermelon from Aldi and today once I able to eat I had some and it's soooooooo good. So yum. If we don't eat it all, I put some in a Ninja Creami container to make an iceeeee out of it. I also premade dairy-free ice creams, ready to pop into the Ninja Creami. YUM!

  22. I was told by Bob's new therapist that I walk to fast, taking tiny steps and that is why I stump my toes. No zooming with the feet, hold my head up high and length my stride and slow down... he said stumping my toes is a posture thing. HE IS NOT 81. ha ha... keep on zooming and good luck with the teeth pulling. its been a few years since my last one was pulled, but I still remember fretting over it and it was not near as bad as I thought.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Oh no on the stumping toes. Did that the other day in the kitchen. Ouch!

My fault in not explaining well. The zoom is with the camera lens. I don't have a zoom lens so when I want a shot, I have to zoom with my feet.

Glad your teeth that got pulled weren't as near bad as you thought. That's wonderful!

Hope you and the duckies, the pup and the hubby are having a safe and cool weekend. Finally cooled down enough here after the hard rain. Might even be able to bake today.

    1. Hey Amalia. I get that. For me, my brain sees the week of good doings different from the actual yanking of the teeth. Almost like one has nothing to do with the other. Now.... when I sat in the chair, oh yeah, that stress I felt at the moment for sure. But the week prior was a good one. Lots done. Just went too fast.

    1. Hi Sonjia! Thanks for stopping in. For me the week leading up to the yanking is different than the actual sitting in the chair. In the chair, I was stressed. But the week prior doesn't have (to my brain), anything to do with teeth. Instead it was a nice strong week working on things that needed done. My only complaint is that June went tooooo fast. Whoosh.

    1. I get that too, Debbie. I have slow days and weeks as well. On Thursday I installed the bedroom air conditioner and that helped. Have you closed off the windows that get the most sun? I did that here and it helped a great deal. Then I hung long almost floor to ceiling curtains to areas of the house and that helped.

For example there's a hallway between the bedroom and kitchen. Which at the kitchen entrance now hangs and long blackout curtain (soft one, easy to walk through). That keeps the air in the snug and kitchen and then the air from the bedroom stays in the bedroom and in the laundry hall.

Stuff like that helps a great deal for us.
