Kitchen tables. Desks. Dresser tops, counters and bench tops. Fertile grounds for clutter. Almost a magnet, if you will. But now that all my hobby stations are in place and being used, tidy and cleared top surfaces are a happy thing.
Hot dog.
In other news, I failed my no spend on hobbies for the rest of March. I didn't buy fabric, that I did good with. However, I did buy a new ruler. The Folded Corner Clipper and I LUUUUUUVVVVVES this tool.
There's a larger one, I went with the little corner clipper because I wanted a smaller tool that works well with my home-cut jelly rolls and itty bitty squares and triangles.
What a time saver.
What a treat.
And in other, other news .....

This is new to me. I have never heard of a Corner Clipper. I will check them out next time I am in Michael's. Yes, my table and counters are clear!!
ReplyDeleteMe neither and I will also check them out. My tables and counters still are not clear. The spirit is willing but the body’s saying not today Josephine, lol! May tomorrow but you sure are an inspiration :-)
ReplyDeleteShould have looked at your cute photos the first time. Should have put my glasses on :) have a wonderful day Ivy!
DeleteIt's good you had a clean up. Mostly my dining room table is clean and clear as are the benches in the kitchen - can't stand clutter, but that's me :)
ReplyDeletemy house was clutter free Sunday because Ruby and Keith were coming to meet Bob and Beau and I was forced to put things away.. Still there because she came to walk with us yesterday. This means Ruby will make me pick up clutterr... I went to Google and looked at what a corner clipper is for and wow, looks like a winner... of course I don't quilt or do corners so no need to have one but I can see many ways for you to use it.. forget the budget, ha ha you needed this... my decluttered closets are still decluttered.
ReplyDeleteThe corner clipper couldn't have cost much anyway. With the Minions, it almost looks like a real commercial or something - impressive!
ReplyDeleteIt never fails. I clean off my kitchen table and the clutter just magically starts building up again.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of a corner clipper but then again I haven't been sewing much lately. My kitchen table and counters are almost always clutter free but with the college boy moving home next month it might not stay that way. He has far more kitchen counter sitters than I do.
ReplyDeleteI do a reset of all surfaces every day or two to keep things picked up because I love to have things in their place. TBG is a work in progress.
ReplyDeleteThe thing about cleaning, hobby or kitchen, is that it unleashes a new frenzy of making!
ReplyDeleteThe minions look happy with your purchase!
ReplyDeleteLove those minions. And right now, it seems all the flat surfaces except the kitchen counters could use some cleaning. :( Enjoy yours.
ReplyDeleteFun photos!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a corner clipper before! How interesting!
ReplyDeleteKeeping clutter off surfaces is a full time job.
ReplyDeleteYay for you! I am all about clutter less counters! My husband, however? Not so much! LOL Happy Wednesday, my friend.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post!
ReplyDeleteTrue story, I had to watch a video on what's a folded corner clipper. New stuff learned today! Happy cutting.
ReplyDeletehahahaha, GOOD FOR YOU!!! i am pretty much organized myself, i got a lot done this winter!! and my kitchen table is clear, 4 placemats and a vase of flowers. i am proud!!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha there are still 6 days left in March 🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this new-to-me ruler. I usually use my Go Big cutter for making strips but I look forward to seeing what you make with the new stripology ruler as well.
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen table is always cleared. Now my desk, it looks like a junk pile. I had no idea what a corner clipper is. Now I do!
ReplyDeleteFUN photos my dear. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen table has a centerpiece on it, a little rabbit dish full of jelly beans. Well only, 1/2 full of jelly beans because I have eaten many.
You might have failed your no spend thing, but what you bought is good! And you are loving it, so it's all good!
ReplyDeleteDear Ivy, I totally agree with Mari! And your illustrations and artwork always brings a huge smile to my face, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteBoy, you are on a roll !!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you and I'm sure you will use that corner clip tool many times.
We are having company tomorrow night so there is some Clutter Cleaning going on ...
It seems there is always something to keep me busy doing the mundane things of life.
Sue
Good for you Ivy to buy something that can be used and something you enjoy! NO material? I bought plenty for both of us. lol. YEP, you are so correct..these places are for sure collectors of all kinds of items. Magnets to say the least. I thought I was the only one. I did just clean off the breakfast table which makes me feel like I've really done something..lol. Happy March 25th...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Spring and to get out in the garden and play in the dirt!
ReplyDeleteWe talk about having flat surface disorder lol. If there is a flat surface, watch out. Like you say, they are a magnet.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have clutter free surfaces.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy using your folded corner clipper ... which I too had not heard of before.
Happy midweek and rest of the week :)
All the best Jan
My kitchen table is clean too
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
If it has a top....I use it to put things on. Nothing stays clear here for long. Your new tool looks very interesting.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I hope you'll get lots of chances to use your new corner clipper.
ReplyDeleteClean, it gets me pumped too.
ReplyDeleteLove those photos. With 6 cats and a 7 year old and a male partner....my house is a riot!! Haha!
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen table is always clean as are all my counters. My mess is on my desk. I'm always cleaning it up.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of nor seen a Folded Corner Clipper until today. My table is the only one in the entire flat so it always has stuff on it.
