    1. Hey there MadSnapper! Great to see you today. Just got back from your blog with the droplets. Those are one of my MOST FAVE things to shoot. One time I got them on a big spider web. Only I didn't know Miss Spider was hiding. She jumped out and boy, did I fly back. Fun day though. Good times shooting drops. Happy Weekend. Happy Snapping! 📸❤️

  6. I hope that's really just a pin cushion and not some faceless voodoo doll. Where that thought came from I don't even know. Hope you're having a happy week!

    1. Thank you so much, Debra for taking note of my photos and how things are unfolding. I wrote to you about Karl Taylor and really, I can't say enough about his advice, he gave to someone else, to aim for one good photo per day. Really, really fun.

    1. Hi Sue! Thank you. I thought of Voodoo Doll when I sewed that from scraps. Same thing! Funny that others see it too.

I've not been around because I've been decluttering and then hubby got sick and then I had an ear, tooth and head thing. Back now, catching up.

  17. Hi Ivy- what a lovely photo- brings back memories from my youth. I have not seen a pin cushion in many years. Of course I don't sew and maybe if I did, I'd have a pin cushion.Have a great week.

    1. Groovy. What sewing projects are you working on?

      Delete
    2. No sewing projects, but a pin cushion is part of my sewing/mending kit and I hadn't replaced mine for probably 30 years. The sawdust was falling out!

    3. lololol on the sawdust falling out. Glad you found a new one.

  19. Nice pin cushion. I don't sew so don't need one but I did make one out of some stuffing, a piece of velvet, and a cracked teacup💗
    Have a lovely weekend.

  20. A picture tells a thousand stories. I guess you're enjoying your sewing at the moment, now you've got your sewing nook you'll be raring to go. I've never really got into sewing, I had a go at English paper piecing, sewing by hand, and I enjoyed the process to a point but never finished the project. I bought a sewing machine a number of years ago but it's never even been out of the box. I don't think I enjoy learning new things, I stick to what I know.

    1. Hey Jo. I've been sewing for many, many, many years. Had a blanket business and a HUGE sewing room at one time. Just got back into sewing a few weeks ago and it's sooo fun. Makes me sad to think of your machine in a box. What make you want a machine at the time? What did you want to make?

      Delete
    2. There wasn't anything I particularly wanted to make, I just thought I'd give it a go so I bought a very basic machine but it was around the time that my parents' health started to decline and I started on the journey of supporting them through their final years, the sewing machine never made it out of the box, and these days I just don't really have the time to embark on something new.

    3. Thank you for sharing that, Jo. You're a good egg that you took the time to do that for your parents. Really a wonderful thing.

  21. I still have the pincushion my grandmother gave me years ago. When she died my Aunt sent me all of grandmothers pins and her cusions along with scraps of yarn and materials for patching.

      Do you sew?

  22. Oh, I remember those pin cushions. I wish I had kept one from my mom. She was a great seamstress, and you don't see those anymore. Nice photo, my friend.
