Hi Ginny! ALDI also had a heart as well. And a few cute Valentine's sweaters (both adult and kiddos). We also got a candle but the candle was meh for smell. I like the jar though so I'll save that.
LOVED your crow shots.
Stay warm and I hope you have, water, lights and heat.
Hi Linda! Thank you so much and I gotta say, I'm loving your personal touches at the end of your blogposts. I love seeing your photos, learning more about you. It's just very nice. Cheers and boogie boogie.
ha ha ha ha ha I know which is the truth.... and which is not. I love these photos and am a tad jealous they are not mine. I am out of things to take photos of inside my house... yum on the baked goods and super shots. Beau and Bob and I all slept 8 hours last night, I had a 2 hour nap in the afternoon, Beau slept for 24 solid hours after the shots. he got up to pee a few times, was not allowed to have food, but did not care.. I don't know if the new meds are side effects or from stress. will not make any decisions until things have calmed down.... the meds have removed my anger and I have not cried since the first pill 4 days ago
Have you tried any foods like whatever is in the fridge? Today I'm going to shoot spinach. Nothing fancy just for practice with light and shadow. Anything small like that or even an unused toothbrush. Wires, anything like that. Or a super macro of some of your neat glass.
Wow, 24 hours of rest I'm glad the pup (Beau), got that. I can understand about the possible side effects vs the stress. Stress can do so many things to us. So I get that for sure.
Not being mad and crying ... though I gotta say, a good cry (for me, I can only speak for me), does wonders. But I get that right now, you don't want that and just wanna not be mad. I get that too. Makes sense.
Sending love and huggs your way ❤️ And you know, all of us that read your blog on the daily are here when you want to vent, too!
Those lego things are so cute. How nice of her to send them to you. Love all your photos. The mushroom planter is so cute. I wonder if they have any at the Aldi near me
Thanks, Ann. Loving all your cartoons. They have great energy. I checked my ALDI again and they still had them though moved to the side. They also have hearts too.
Hey Lori! Thank you. I used local maple syrup with a brush and then attached the sesame seeds. Some were sticky after baking and some weren't so I still need to work that bit out. Was good though.
I know I told you this already in your last post, but I just LOVE your new banner! So fierce and that menacing "Hello 2026" makes me laugh! Your new photography style with the black backgrounds is just terrific -- your food photos look so professional! And your final meme made me smile!
Thank you, Debra. She is my fave of my Wonder Womans. Thank you about the photos too. I really love that inverse square law. Gives me a black back ground even with gray or white walls. Pretty neat.
Very nice on the potato noodles. Have you tried yams yet? Works great. These here are cavatelli but I also make the same with various spuds and yams. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Awe...the valentine mushroom caught my eye.. such a cutie. I know you have some great plans for these little pieces of legos. As always Ivy...I love seeing what all you are up to each week.. YUM YUM to these rolls...
That planter is adorable and I think if my husband forced me to get one I wouldn't complain. :) And your bread and pasta look so tasty. Have fun with the Legos. And stay warm because I'm guessing it's cold where you are also.
Hey Erika! Oh yeah, cold here but I confess, I'm enjoying it. There haven't been any winds which makes the cold just a nice cold. Fresh. Crisp. Really nice.
Ummmm, those rolls look so yummy. You are a great food photographer. Love the mushroom too. We don't have an Aldi's around here. Maybe its a good thing. It keeps more money in my pocket ... haha ... Sue
Hi Ivy! Really good looking gnocchi! Is it beet gnocchi? And what an adorable mushroom Valentine planter! So cute and festive! Valentine's Day will be here before we know it. Have a great day!
I have a teeny tiny lego set that makes a Christmas Tree, absolutely CANNOT work out how it goes together. It's been sitting in a drawer here for over ten years now. Love the mushroom planter.
I wonder if there's something on YouTube for the one you have. Maybe. Never know. I find a lot of great things on there when I need help with stuff. Do you shop at ALDI too? Happy weekend, River.
hehehehe, my husband is like yours...always making me buy cute things i don't need!! have fun with those legos, i was so happy to send them to you and know you "might" enjoy them!!
Ivy, I couldn't decide which I liked better, those mini Legos of the breads and I think the breads won out! We will be waiting to see what photo set-ups you do with the Legos.
Great photos! The bread looks amazing, as do your noodles. So glad your hubby forced you to get the planter. LOL! It’s adorable! Debbie is a great blogging friend and a very sweet lady to send you the legos.
I love the four cute little lego models. A lovely gift. Enjoy putting them together. I wonder what else you could make with those tiny pieces and your artistic talents? We bought our adult son a T Rex mini lego model to make for Christmas. He loved it.
That Valentine mushroom is sooo cute. My son used to love Legos when he was a little boy. They have the most delightful Legos out these days. Your sesame rolls look amazingly good!
Now I want to run to Aldis, but we are snowed in! And iced in. Your bread is gorgeous!!

Plus you really are the master at presenting food fotos or is it phood photos?
You 100 percent could do all of this. It's not hard. Give Pasta Grannie a watch. You can for sure do this. It's soooo fun. I hope you give it a go.
