Two more sleeps and the 2x macro will be in my hot little hands.
In other news, this is me playing with a 22mm pancake lens, belly down on the soggy ground all because I liked the slight curve in the stem.
That was it. I saw the curve when I let Bug out and had to get the shot. And whilst this isn't food photography for my book, it is practice and I love that. Plus, I love crawling around outside for shots.
In other, other news, by the end of the week the new photography space will be done and it'll be time to start shooting food again.
Pretty cool.
And that's about all from here. Second post of the week. Hot dog!
PS: I posted this for Wordless Wednesday because so many of you do that and I think it's a neat idea, only I couldn't be wordless today. I'm too excited about the lens.
Two more sleeps.
I used to get down like that, back when I could get up again! You can get great shots. You're so excited about the new lens, it's nice.
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks! Some places there's no way either. I use yoga methods to move around and for shooting too. Thank you. Very excited. One more sleep to go as I write this.
DeleteCool pic, Ivy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ray!
DeleteLOVE that shot.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Thank you! I LOVED all your balloons. It's so cool that you got to do that.
DeleteThat is an awesome shot of the dandelion. I'm impressed at the lengths you went to in order to get the shot. I would be afraid of getting down there and not being able to get back up. The neighbors would spot me rolling around in the yard like a beached whale and call 911...lol
ReplyDeleteHey Ann! I can't help it. Even if I don't want to get on the soggy ground, the camera always wins out. As for getting up (and getting down), I use yoga practices and breathing. Really helps. Also, I thought of you this morning when I was outside crawling around the front yard. Where everyone could see me in my jammies doing the belly crawl. Your beached whale image of myself popped into my head. So funny!
DeleteGood for you ! Your photography is stunning. Love the shot of the dandelion even if you had to get down (and up) to get it. Please explain the "sleeps"- I have no idea .
ReplyDeleteHey Judee! Two more sleeps means two more nights to go. When I go to sleep, I tell myself, two more sleeps until the lens arrives. Tonight I'll put my head on the pillow and tell myself, one more sleep. Thank you for the kind words about the photo.
DeleteGreat shot of that dandelion!
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks. Fun to play and play and play some more.
DeleteGorgeous
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks!
DeleteIt's gorgeous! Worth being on your belly for! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mari! I was out again this morning. I'm still soggy and this time, a bit muddy too.
Deletemy days of getting down are done, I used to do that with toadstools. also the camera that I used died... so happy for your new lens and for your being able to lay on your belly and get back up
ReplyDeleteHow cool with the toadstools. As for getting up and down, I use yoga to help me. Otherwise, I might not be able to do it either as much. Sorry your camera died. Glad you have your phone to take some snaps!
DeleteI can feel the excitement. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie. As I write this, one more sleep. One more sleep to go. It's a lens I never had before where everything is manual setting and no electronics.
DeleteYou do have talent, Ivy. You made the dandy look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandra! So you do you! Hope your pain is less today. Love the images of the horses. Keep 'em coming.
DeleteA pretty photo of the Dandelion. While some refer to them as weeds, I call them wildflowers. I'm glad you are sharing your latest photos with us. I love taking pictures, and nature is my favorite subject.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Thank you, Sheri! It's fun to get out there and I'm with you, wildflowers. I love them. I love the bright yellow. Same with me, photo walks are the best.
DeleteI love, love, love that regal dandelion !!!
ReplyDeleteSue
Thank you, Sue. They make my heart smile with all that yellow!
DeleteGreat shot. Nice job! Thanks so much for your visit and your comment; too, on Writing Straight from the Heart.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! Happy Wednesday!
DeleteWonderful shot. If I got down like that, I would be down for a long time until someone came to help:). And we are rarely "wordless" on our posts - so hard to do.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Timber
lololol on the rarely wordless. I found that a challenge for sure!
DeleteThat will be exciting! Can't wait to see the results you get with your photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie!
DeleteThat is such a lovely photograph you've shared.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Hi Jan. Thank you! I thought of you again today when out shopping. That's so neat. Thanks!
DeleteI am exactly the same way. I always come back from outside with mud stains on my jeans. Love the photo. It's beautiful!
ReplyDelete-Soma
Hi Soma. I don't know you. Thanks for stopping by today. Mud and muck is the best! Cheers, Ivy.
DeleteLook at you go...I know it would have made for a great picture seeing you crawl on the ground. This is a neat picture..I like how the angle gives character to the petals...cool
ReplyDeletelololololol. It won't be long before takes one of me doing that. lolololol.
DeleteLove the photo and hope you enjoy the coming lens!
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks! I love reading about the snuggle updates.
DeleteIf I tried taking that shot I would never get up again. I am full of admiration for your photo.
ReplyDeleteI use yoga to help me get up and down. Really helps a lot. Thank you for your kind words about the photo.
