MACRO MONDAY (little purple snowflake)

Welcome to Macro Monday! I'm not sure how many of these I'll do per month - or if I'll move to a different day. Either way, I LOVE shooting macro and close-up photography so for now, let's go with, Macro Monday!

There's something fun about a macro lens at a single focal point. I can't adjust a prime lens with my hands. I have to get in there close to take the shot. For me, a prime lens is a more personal experience. I like that I have to zoom with my feet to get a detailed shot.

That's what I did here with the little white snowflake. I see this little snowflake hanging from the tree each day and I just love it. So after work, before getting to chores and meals, I broke out the macro lens and played.

So fun.

In other news, we're still loving the new couch. I'm writing from the snug now. It's just soooooo peaceful here to read, write, draw, game and watch movies. When we do move, we're for sure gonna have a space like this. All snuggly and fun.

And that my Boogerbutts is a wrap. I'll catch you on the flipside.

Huggs & Buggs, Me.

  8. i have now been without a camera that accepts lens, and i miss the macro most of all. that is my favorite, details of tiny things. i knew the color came from the lights because bob requested blue lights on the little tree and even though blue is a 1 on my like scale i did it, every ornament on the tree appears to be blue. he loves it I do not. i have tried and tried to use the iphone 7 for macro, just can't get it to work. we need a new sofa, it is 20 plus years and leather, looks good but feel horrible. the stuffing is gone flat in all but two places and i want a big cuddly one to replace it and you know who does not

    1. Very cool that you enjoy macro as well. It's just so fun to shoot and explore the tiny images.

Love that you gave him blue, that's sweet of you.

My phone has a macro setting (android), though it's not great either. I do have one of those external macro lens to attach to the camera as well as wide lens, though on the newer phone, they don't fit mine.

20 years plus is a long time. Will you get a new one if that one feels horrible? I got mine at Big Lots with a coupon. $440

  10. Happy to hear you are enjoying the new couch! I'd love to see a picture of it. I'm in the market for a new one. I'll probably go with a slipcovered one this time. I like having the option to wash it if needed.
