Garden Shed DIY Up-Cycling (weekend project)

Lots going on here this weekend, so much so that it didn't even feel like a weekend and that's okay because the shed is a few steps closer to being done AND, my cute little purple Bluetooth keyboard arrived. To sit and write on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is heaven. Even got a cute little purple mouse to go with. Pictures to come.

In other news, Wiggy goes back to the vet this Tuesday for spinal tissue treatments. I don't know enough about them yet, though after one partial treatment, she began to move better as well as eat better.

I'll take it.

In other, other news, after this post, I'm headed to town for exterior yellow paint for the shed. I'm also itching to get a paint sprayer. Don't think I will today, though I'll take a look-see when I'm there for sure.

Below is the shed. Yesterday we removed to old framing, hinges and doors and built new. I tell you what, I loved doing this because we did it together AND saved what was savable from the old structure. LOVE that.

And that my Boogerbutts, wraps up the weekend report.

Chat again soon. Huggs & bugs,

- Me

    1. Thanks. Went to Home Depot on Sunday. They matched a chalk paint yellow we had. What's cooking at your place today? Not sure yet here. Something with beans. I think.

  11. I am smiling at your comment about enjoying fixing the old shed. at age 86 and 78, it took both of us this morning at 5 am, 30 minutes to put the guts in the backof the commode that has been flushing itself for one year. Bob's bathroom. I bought the guts 1 year ago and he never did it, this morning it flushed itself 6 times in an hour. we did not like it, and it did take both of us to do it... old age has us by the throat. the shed looks super and can't wait to see it paintet yellow

  18. My old house had a shed like this, mine stretched out in the back with amazing storage, even had a play built in the back for extra storage. Never forget when I first got it I thought I would never fill it...haha, filling it did not take long! What are you going to do with yoors.

    1. Hi Pam. That sounds like an amazing storage area. For ours, we don't use it for much. It houses our mower and a few other bits and bobs.

  19. So glad you are refreshing this! We need to a bit of refreshing to ours and we need to move it too (not looking forward to that). Yellow sound happy - go for the sprayer! You can use it for other stuff too.

    1. Moving one sounds like a big job. Will you paint yours as well? Took a look at the sprayers they had our offer. Neither were the model I wanted for the price they asked. I'll look again though. Sounds like a fun toy. Have you sprayed?

  21. I love the shape of your shed, can't wait to see its renovation completed. Love how you both got on with this - I like it when couples do things together. We went through a box of old photos last night, no TV was involved and we had a great time.
Hope Wiggy gets on fine with th treatment and is soon fully well.
    Hugs, Neet xx
