Get the Pudge Outta Here! 30-Day Challenge

Kicking off June with a 30-Day Challenge to get my health back on track because true confession time; I've gained a bit of chub and it's gotta go! Sometimes people do this whole, don't talk about if you've gained weight, or don't tell someone who has gained weight that they need to drop it but I say, balls to that.

I gained weight.

It's uncomfortable on my short frame.

It's gotta go.

Which is kinda perfect because I want to blog more and this is something to share as I go. I'll share my Buddha bowls, non-dairy ice cream and whatever other fun things I make.

Ah ... That feels better, already.

And I dunno why June? Just sorta feels like the right thing. Just feels like all of the pieces are coming together and that makes this challenge, fun. But I've no doubt, there will be times when it won't be fun, and I'll write about that too.

Anyone who wants to join, is more than welcome. Doesn't have to be about weight, comfort or anything. It can be a 30-day challenge to spend more time reading, being outside or anything at all.

For me, this extra weight is uncomfortable on my frame so that's the focus. Now with Monster (or treadmill), gone, I'll get back to other forms of exercise. Currently shopping for a small indoor trampoline. But I also love my tai chi and yoga so it's time to make time for that. Love to jog and walk and work on the yard. Lots of fun ahead. Even without Monster.

And that my Booggerbutts, is all that's fit to print.

Thanks for reading! Talk again soon.

  2. We will wait to hear the details and something you do might be something we can do except of course at 77 I will not be on a trampoline. No Wait! I refused to do that in 10th grade PE and got an F for my non efforts. your cartoon you looks like it will not take long to lose what you want to lose

    1. Wow, and F just because you didn't want to use a trampoline? Oh my gosh. That's silly of the teacher. Thank you about my cartoon. Wishing you a yummy day!

  9. My own extra weight has been uncomfortable for about three or four years now and for me I know the answer is to move more, since I'm already eating less, but there are so many reasons not to go outside and get walking. 1: winter 2: cold 3: winter....
Inside is only ten steps from front door to back door; I just checked, it's actually thirteen steps.

    1. Hey River! Any fun exercises for inside? I had a treadmill but just recently gave it away to a friend because I wanted the space. Ordered a mini trampoline for indoors. Ever use one? I haven't yet. Super curious. Happy Moving to you. Hope you find something fun for indoors.

    2. I can dance on the spot with some boppy music, that will help. Semi-pushups against the kitchen sink too.

    3. Dancing on the spot is great fun! Boogie boogie!

  12. I will join you Ivy, I have some winter (i.e. cheese) weight to lose! The pudge is bugging me when I wear my jeans. I'll be on the trampoline every morning for a little bit and now I'm walking the pups for about an hour a day so that should help! Good luck on your pudge-off!! ☺

    1. Pudge-Off! Oh my gosh, I love that. Gonna use it for an upcoming title. So funny! Happy to have you join, Rain. PS: Trampoline arrives Friday (they show), but hasn't shipped yet. We'll see. Goodbye pudge!

    2. Fingers crossed you get it Friday. I think it's a fabulous machine, if you can call it that! I just put on my headphones and dance, bounce and jog away while looking out the window! ☺

    3. Once we move the bedroom, the trampoline will go near a window too. Though this one is an indoor outdoor so that's a fun option. Happy Shopping tomorrow! I'm just about to jump back into photo edits of jalapenos!

  13. Sounds like a great plan, Wonder Woman! You go, girl. My honey bunny and I walk a lot. And there's biking, too, although we haven't committed as much as we want to. Yet. We'll get to that. I'm also spending time in the garden that is leaving me blissfully exhausted. I think my main focus is to stay physically strong, so when I'm old and grey, I'll be in reasonable shape! Loved the trampoline you sent me a link to. Soooo adorable! Today we go vote and if the weather co-operates, we're going tree shopping!

    1. Tree shopping sounds like a lot of fun! Staying strong is a wonderful goal. Love, love, love that. Same here. I want to keep being active until I'm six feet under. Trampoline should be here tomorrow. We'll see... so far no emails that it was shipped.

  14. I love that title....catchy! Thanks for stopping by the blog and leaving a comment. Nice to meet you via blog world! I am heading off to Calif next month and want to drop a feel pounds myself. I had decided that my next run to the store would be when I would start my eating better. I will get my meat for the protein, do seeds and nuts, fruits and veggies. Leaving out the bread, pasta, rice and stuff like that. Leaving that out will not be easy, those are what I love!! Visit the blog anytime.

    1. Hey Erika! Thanks for stopping in today. It's gonna be a month long challenge but not focused on numbers or the scale. I'll post about Buddha bowls, new ice cream that doesn't have loads of sugar and fat, and about the new trampoline. You're welcome to join in on the 30-day fun! Cheers, Ivy.

  20. Hi Ivy! How did your 30 day challenge go? I admit, I need to drop a few pounds, too. About 15 is my goal. Maybe you could ask on your local Buy Nothing Facebook group if anyone has a small trampoline they are getting rid of? I see people on mine all the time giving those away.
Hope you're doing well, my friend! xo
