DONE! DONE! DONE! WAIT FOR IT .......... DONE!

Stick a fork in me, I'm DONE! Also, I enjoy doing laundry again. What? Who is this impostor? How can I go from nearly being killed by a pile of laundry so high, that I'd never survive the crash, to enjoying doing laundry?

I dunno. I just did. Each morning as the air fryer cooks Smoochie Face's lunch, I fold the laundry and/or start a new load and I am digging it.

Who knew? Not me.

In other DONE news, the raised beds for the front are finally DONE! I love the natural wood but it's only gonna turn gray before the season ends. And even though I won't paint every single box I build, I do enjoy the pop of Super Duper Yellow near the front porch.

And lastly, in DONES! Each morning after Tim goes to work, I do whatever quick thing needs done online, then I unplug and edit, edit, edit, edit and edit. Video. Still shots. Thumbs. Show notes. Whatever food related work needs done, gets done. Just like I used to do when I was a published writer (way back when the land was flat). Back then, the writing came first and today, the food-related work, also comes first.

It's been SO GOOD!

Get this. I've NEVER been here before. But as this moment, my videos for this coming Sunday and the following Wednesday after that are wait for it .... DONE, DONE, DONE!

Hot dog. Life is good.

Now, onto to Today's Menu. It's meatless meals with Tim making an appearance in the nugget video. If you enjoy my videos, please hit that subscribe button. I'm THIS close to hitting 1,000 subscribers. This close, I say, this close.

And with that, I'm off make supper because if I didn't already say it my work day edits are DONE, DONE, DONE, DONE!

I'd say before, laundry and dishes, I didn't care for the but the rest I enjoyed. The keeping a home bit. Very cool that you never had a problem with that. Cooking and baking, yes, so fun! Thanks.

Not sure yet. Something that we can eat though. Maybe Swiss Chard? Not really sure yet. Hmmm... Gotta good amount of seeds though.

    Your style is super-duper!
    You´re one closer.

Help!!! I cannot even look! With bare fingers into the hot!
Guess our ALDI here has different stuff. But ugh. They redecorated all stores and it takes ages to find now what you need, it´s so annoying!

Oh. You can come over here, the laundry as in T-shirts and stuff is dry and now towels need to go into it ;-)

Yes, my fingers are often in the hot but after awhile, I don't feel it.

Ugh on the redecorated stores. They make it hard for people to find stuff.

I'll jump in my TARDAS and be right over to help with the laundry. Thank you again for joining.

    2. Yes for sure - we did a lot of things around here that needed to be done - living in the mountains there is a lot of yard clean up that has to happen by June 1 - or thereabouts... with pine needles etc. We had a couple of big snowstorms in the winter - ice that brought down a lot of branches and bent trees and basically we have worked off and on for several months to clean it up and move things to the road for the chipping truck that comes by. And with beautiful weather we are out walking a lot. Hope you have a great weekend whatever you have planned...

    3. I love that. Very, very cool. We live in a rural area and the edge of our yard, meets a small wooded area. Super peaceful. I can see a bigger area needing lots of work but good work. Nature is the best.

Thanks. Just a chilled out weekend for us. I hit ALDI earlier today and that was nice to get out. Happy Weekend to you guys, too.

    3. Hi Jenny! Done, done, done. Which came in handy today when I woke with a headache so bad that I couldn't do much until later. It was nice to have things done and be able to really rest.

Thank you so much. YouTube is a nightmare. I have a friend who signed up a long time ago and hit the bell and doesn't get the notifications. And then, awhile ago, YouTube removed subscribers. They did a clean up of spam accounts and such but real folks got unsubscribed as well.

They are hot mess. It's very odd too because they've even deleted comments that I made on my own channel to people. I went back and re-answered those deleted comments but overall, YouTube is a hot mess. But, also, one of the biggest search engines and a lot of fun. So there's that.

      Thank you so much, Jenny!

  21. I don't have an air fryer- I'm still deciding if a vegan needs an air fryer.. these hotdogs give me one more plus towards maybe getting one. I love these hot dogs. I microwave them for 1 minute each and yes they get bubbly, but I like them that way.. If I get an air fryer.. I'll be making my vegan hot dogs in it. Thanks. Enjoyed your video.

    1. I only eat plants and I've had an air fryer for a few years now, coming up on 3 this Christmas. Air fryers, the good ones, are small hot ovens that whip air around super duper fast, without the need of much and if any, oil. It does wonderful work on cauliflower, peppers, onions, muchrooms and bean curd. Watch this space because this Sunday, I have an air fried fried veggie rice, made in the air fryer. SOOOO much fun and wonderful. Just a wonderful tool that, bakes really well too. I do breads, cakes and cookies - though mine tend to be less on the sweet side but sweets work too. I cannot say enough good things about an air fryer. Oh, and roasted peppers are HEAVEN!

      Delete
    2. Have you ever shared which one you have and love. I'm not sure which one to get..

      Delete
    3. Hi Judee. All my newer videos where I air fry, I share the model I use in the shownotes. I also had a Cook's Essential, that's what I started with and did a semi-unboxing of that on the channel. That one died 2 years to the day. My DeLonghi also died in the first month but I think that was a fluke that I got a bad one, because once they replaced it, no issues.

If you go to COOKINGWITHDOUG, on YouTube, he has use many, many different models and that might be a good place for you to start. He helped me when I was shopping. He did a meal in the Cook's Essential and I was like, yep, that's what I want. So I got that one at QVC.

For me, I knew that I wanted the De'Longhi because I'm a baker. And that model has a bottom heating element. BUT it also has a paddle that comes out. So I'm in the market to get the fully flat pan because I don't find the paddle useful (for me, others love the paddle and you might too). In that case, I would direct you to Booger on YouTube. Air Fry Recipes with Booger. She is not a veghead but she does do bakes and side dishes and you can get a good look at the machine.

Then on my channel there's a playlist called, Air-Fry Mixed Bag, I believe. There's a Cook's Essential on that list and you can see roasted peppers, onions, yams and a few other goodies.

I'm happy to help in any way. Just ask if you need help.

The DeLonghi comes in more than one size and more than one price point. I got mine on Amazon for 95 bucks. But to get the flat pan, it will cost me 40 unless I get another coupon code on their website, which will knock it down to 30. BUT, for my smaller model, they haven't restocked the flat pan.

The air fryer is a small oven. So if a dish can work in the oven, most often it can work in an air fryer. So for me, if I were to get another one, now I know, what size basket would work with the pans and such that I have now.

The best thing to do, is to watch my mixed bag playlist, head to Booger's and Doug's page and start to sift through (skipping through when needed), our videos to get an idea of everything and all the goodness that an air fryer has to offer and, what size, price point and even colour, you fancy.

And again, I'm here and happy to help in any way that I can. And lastly, there are some reviews on Amazon and QVC that might help. For instance, the Cook's Essential basket wears and tears FAST. Within the first month my coating was off the high points. Consider though, I am a HIGH user. Most of my appliances die under the extreme use that I put them through and YMMV.

Any questions, reach me here, by email or on www.youtube.com/thehappywhisk - I'm happy to help.

    2. I'll definitely post some pictures once we get the kitchen redone and you'll see the before and after in those. I'm in a weird reno phase right now. I have black kitchen cabinets, but on a whim bought some white paint last week to change them up. They've never bothered me before, but I worry with laying gray bamboo flooring down, the kitchen will be too dark with the black cabinets. So, change may be really good there.

    3. Oh very cool on the pictures and the change. That's so fun. And why not? It's fun to change things up and make it shine. Very, very cool. We don't have upper cupboards as I ripped them out awhile ago. We do have lowers for the sink area only, but those will be coming out and I want to build a sink. So fun to play! Happy New Week! Thanks for stopping by!
