With the immune system stuff, I don't get to eat out often and it's been YEARS since I ate a pretzel. But we recently hit a pretzel shoppe and the ladies at Auntie's made mine without butter and it was SO GOOD.
Friday Question:
Do you like pretzels? Do you use dipping sauces, mustard or plain? I like mine plain or with a wee bit of yellow mustard.
Video of us: PRETZEL TIME!
That was nice they made it right just for you.
ReplyDeleteI like very little salt and some spicy brown mustard on mine.
I have never had a pretzel like that. I eat pretzel sticks or pretzel peanut butter nuggets:-)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind having a big pretzel like that every once in a while -- so long as it's warm. Just plain with salt is fine with me!
ReplyDeleteWith cheese inside.
ReplyDeleteso glad you were able to have your butter free pretzel. Then again I could see you making your own sometime? I don't often have pretzels if I've ever had one.
ReplyDeleteI love pretzels. But I avoid them because they are one of those foods that if I start eating, I won't stop.
ReplyDeletePlain for me too! That was so nice they made it special for you.
ReplyDeleteThere are shops around here that have those big ones. I've never really gone for them.
ReplyDeletePretzels are very good, dear Lady Whisk... (without teeth, another food that we can no longer enjoy... felt really bad a couple day ago ... Friend gave me a "Rice-Crispy" Treat. we thanked them ... it is in fridge for someone who can eat it)...
ReplyDeleteA great October weekend to you and good Gothridge Manor...
and Hello from Marshville...
I love pretzels!!
ReplyDeletePretzels rarely cross my radar. I am thrilled that you got to enjoy a long foregone treat again though.
ReplyDeletePlain for me, but marinara sauce goes nicely!
ReplyDeleteGreat that you enjoyed them! I do like Auntie Anne's once in a while, but other than that, not much. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is actually the pretzel lover. I just tag along :) Although I do love a warm one with no salt. Mm...mm...
ReplyDeleteI like the fresh ones, maybe some mustard.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
A pretzel isn't a pretzel without mustard.
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here swallowing constantly from all the drooling . . . we had a pretzel shop here for a couple of years back in the 90's. My favourite ways to have them were with butter and salt or with butter and cinnamon sugar.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a good thing the place went out of business!
I'm so glad you got to have a treat. It's hard having to avoid things we used to enjoy.
I do like pretzels but only eat bread a few times a year.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get those out here, the only pretzels I know are the tiny crispy snack ones sold in packets liked foil packed beer nuts etc , they're to be nibbled with drinks.
ReplyDeleteYou dont really see pretzels in the uk. Only in delicatesants. The only pretzels ive ever had were the small crispy ones in packets?
ReplyDeleteNever had one of the big pretzels. Very rarely seen them, only the packet crispy ones.
ReplyDeleteI love the big pretzel like you had. I like to eat mine plain or maybe with a little bit of cheese sauce. So happy that you were able to enjoy a pretzel on an outing with Tim.
ReplyDeleteI've only had a big pretzel once and it was interesting. Not bad but I'm not sure I would get it again.
ReplyDeleteI love big, soft ones with melted cheese..or a sweet cream cheese or mustard...now I am hungry for one
ReplyDeleteWe get pretzels at Auntie Anne's at the mall. I love the almond pretzel and garlic parmesan.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Auntie Anne's pretzels, with the butter and salt. Sooooo yummy!
ReplyDeleteI don't like pretzels - but the only ones I've come across are small, hard and dry - probably not the real thing.
ReplyDeleteI eat pretzels, but prefer the big, soft ones with any kind of mustard. Yum.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love my mustard! And, I like them warm too!
ReplyDeletecoated in chocolate :)
ReplyDeleteI love Auntie Ann's pretzels, probably because of the butter!
ReplyDeleteAunties makes the best fresh soft pretzel, if I am eating one while at the mall I eat it plain. If I am out at a pub that serves them I like it with spicy brown mustard and an ice cold beer.
ReplyDeleteDo you know ...
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've eaten a pretzel!
That was so nice they made it right just for you.
All the best Jan
A woman after my own heart. I love hot pretzels...and spicy mustard rocks!
ReplyDeleteHave a beachy week!
Elsie
