GET THIS F**CKER FINISHED

I just crawled out of the coffin and now I'm at my desk. I didn't brush my teeth or pee, which I think borders on TMI.

Today's goal: Apply a second coat of mud to the walls (Tim's new office). Let compound dry. Do a third coat on Friday. Prime next week. Paint. Install new floor.

Time to get this fucker finished.

In other news, I'm learning Twitter. Anyone on there? What do you like or dislike about it? I'm interested to hear your views.

  4. I don't have time to tweet, even if it is only 140 characters long. Blogging takes up all my time!

  5. I'm on twitter! I love the chats (via hashtag), but rarely have time to participate. Twitter really is the only FREE form of communication in social media left. I almost threw a tantrum when then departed from the timeline posting though and went to an algorithm. SO much harder to connect with people now.

    1. What was timeline posting? Algorithms are funny things. I dunno. They still seem off to me on youtube and for sure on G+, at least for me.

As for the walls, I felt good about my choice to make new walls from day one.

  10. Not on Twitter here but I have taken a look at it and got confused at what the point was. My kids tried to explain it to no avail. Maybe if I had family outside my province I would take the time to learn it. But probably not. Facebook is more than enough.

    1. Not yet because I don't use my phone for social media and I haven't figured out how to use Instagram on the computer. I can do the tablet but that's a google mess.

  16. I follow news people on twitter, HW, but I don't tweet myself. I find it's a great way to find out late breaking news and check out links to stories.

  17. As soon as I get out of bed, I can't do anything unless I pee. I have the tiniest bladder in the world I'm sure.
I don't do twitter, to me it's like facebook, a colossal waste of time. Who needs to update all day everyday? There's a life away from the phones and I'd rather be there.

    1. I'm surprised that you two don't do more to reach more low-carbers with your message.

It's slow going but I enjoy making the walls walls. It's difficult yet satisfying.

    2. Hi Ivy - we reach around the globe, and do quite a lot behind the scenes.
We're cool spreading the LCHF news to help not only diabetics but others who may benefit from the stories, articles, recipes we post etc.
One small step, and if over the years, in our humble way we may have been fortunate to help just one person a day then that person may not be living with diabetes complications.

      Wishing you a great weekend

      All the best Jan

    3. Cool beans. How do you mean behind the scenes? I'm not a low-carber but I do enjoy seeing your plant meals. Yum.

Too many social platforms though can get to be a bit much. Some companies are on everything. I guess it works for them but it's a tad overkill for me.

Are you able to eat carrots?

    4. Hi again ... by helping out behind the scenes, we get a lot of email enquiries from both fellow diabetics and health care professionals who want to talk about various things we have experienced with the LCHF lifestyle. Eddie is also part of the world-wide food med group - and I'm quite a good secretary. LOL!
      Link is here

Look under Low Carb Map of the World,
Eddie is listed as a low carb coach/activist.

We do eat carrots, they are a little more carby, so do not have too many. I always work within Eddie's blood sugar tolerances.

      All the best Jan

I am on Twitter. I like being able to connect with people- but the limited characters can be a challenge. Plus- sometimes it is hard to keep up because information/tweets are gone so quickly. Good luck!
