STICK A FORK IN ME (I'm done)

Stick a fork in me I'm done. Although, I gotta say, the last two days some problems bubbled up at work and the old me would have cried first. The new me went straight to problem solving mode, sans tears.

That feels WONDERFUL.

In other news, fries are in the air fryer. Going for simple, quick and easy tonight. For Tim, leftover pizza.

In other, other news, this is the new area for shooting pictures. That's the baker's rack from the kitchen. Moved it back to the office corner. I'll fill the shelves with camera gear. Nice to have my old corner spot back. I love having a place to shoot stills.

Check out the mummy below. Saw him and had to snap a shot at the store. I love his little elbows and the resting hand. So stinkin' cute.

And that my Boogerbutts is all that's fit to print.

Huggs & Bugs, Me.

  10. Stay strong, Ivy! You can handle anything.
The amount of open area in your house amazes me. I try to keep my office uncluttered, but there is still no spare open corner anywhere.

  20. It’s great to hear you’ve embraced problem-solving mode—sounds like a positive shift! Sometimes, it’s the little victories that feel the best.

Your setup for shooting pictures sounds perfect, and it’s awesome you have your old corner back. The mummy you spotted is absolutely adorable—those little details really make a difference.

Hope the fries turn out delicious and the leftover pizza is just as satisfying.

  21. Love your setup for still photography. I need some of those softboxes too. The lighting in my house leaves a lot to be desired for eBay and other shots. I just never seem to have the extra money to do it. that bakers shelf is perfect too.
Good on your problem solving.. way to go.

    1. Have you tried using a box and line it with fabric? Or tracing paper. I don't know if that would do for your e Bay sells. You can light behind the fabric with battery operated fairy lights. There's a lot we can do with a small space and budget. I betcha YouTube has a few good videos on that.

  28. Wow, that is a real studio for photography. Here's to many happy hours using it and producing some great photos.
Love the mummy, I straight away thought of an Egyptian Mummy when reading it and then saw what it was for real - that is fabulous and just what is missing from my Halloween display. Nothing like that here in the UK but I can see there will be lots in the stores in the USA. Now pondering how to make one for myself - about 4" high will do.

    1. Do you have any heavy cardboard boxes? Something thick enough to cut into mummy parts and then wrap those with fabric? Or a thin plywood or press wood even can work.

Thanks it's a small useful space. Haven't gotten to play there yet. Shooting for soon!

      Huggs back.

  29. Congratulations on the problem solving without tears, that’s quite an accomplishment. I would not have fared as well. You’ve just given me an idea for tonight’s dinner. I’m putting fries in the air-fryer. Thank you!!! I love your new picture area too. Looks like you’re going to get a perfect amount of light for your photos. We’ve got all our Halloween decorations in the stores now, and a few homes in the neighborhood have started to decorate. Lots of those larger skeletons I noticed too. Thank you for the nice read, have a great rest of the week.

    1. Whelp. Today I cried at work. Been a good cry-free run though. I'm happy with that. How we're the air fryer fries? Oh my gosh, yes. Those large Home Depot skeletons are popping up everywhere. The one we saw tonight was three hundred smackers. Wow! Wow!
