Good Morning Booootteeeful Bloggers. It's early Monday morning, been up since before the birds and soon to head to work. Here's what I freakin' love. Waking up WAY before leaving for work and using that time to get crap DONE!
Doing this gives me a boost in energy to use toward to demands of the outside-of-the-home, work week.
Love that!
In other news, I'm groovin' on the song by Luke Combs from the Twisters soundtrack. Up next, see the movie. Saw Wolverine a few weeks ago. He was delicious. My only complaint is that the Wolverine didn't have his shirt off enough during the movie.
In other, other news, homemade popovers seasoned with everything bagel seasoning are cooling on the table. Bringing them to work today. And, and, and, working on that banana bread formula to share here. This weekend I made Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Banana Bread in mini loaves. Those who don't like, ginger, cinnamon, glove and nutmeg, no biggie. Easy enough to leave the spices out. Still a darn yummy bake. More to come on that front.
For now, That about wraps things up. Cheers and boogie boogie!
And .....
thanks for the morning cheery post.. I like to do my work early too, and used to do the same thing before work and even now I still mop floors at 4 am, clean bathrooms at 4 am, but now I do them on a different day because I AM OLD. early am energy is my thing. my brain stops working about 2 pm each day
ReplyDeleteLOVE your monster man header
DeleteThanks for stopping in today! Chilly here now. Burrr. Love that you got mopping done and out of the way. That's a great way to start the day!!! PS: My brain sometimes shuts down in the afternoon or early evenings. Depending.
DeleteThank you about the monster banner!
DeleteEarly morning is my time. I love getting up and getting things done when I have the most energy and no one else is up to distract me. ! I'm retired but when I worked I would do wash, get dinner prepped and often in the crock pot before work. I usually do my blog in early morning now before I take an hour walk The Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Banana Bread sounds wonderful!! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI love that you got all that done before work. It does help for sure. Reading comments today before I head out to training. It's just a nice quiet time to get stuff done. Thanks, Judee!!! The bake didn't have any egg or dairy so I think you might fancy this formula.
DeleteI like getting up early too, makes the day more productive.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
It really does. Then I look at the clock and there's still soooooo much day left. I love that.
DeleteHave a great day!
ReplyDeleteYou tooooooooo!!!!
DeleteI get up early, but like to read the paper and check in on blogs before jumping into physical activity.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun thing to do in the mornings too. I'm doing that today before I leave for a long day of training.
DeleteCheerful post. I like waking early but I move very slowly for longer! You're sounding full of energy, go you!
ReplyDeleteHey Boud! I move slow at first. Like when opening the coffin and crawling out, I'm very slow!
DeleteGood for you for being so productive already! I get up early on work days, but I have today off and enjoyed sleeping in.
ReplyDeleteYour banana bread sounds awesome!
Hi Mari! I get that too. Some weekend days I stay in a bit longer too.
DeleteI'm an Early Bird too, Ivy! It just makes the day so much more productive, you're right! And glad you enjoyed Wolverine, even if he was modestly attired, LOL.
ReplyDeletelolololololololol on the modestly attired
DeleteI was an early bird for most of my life. Not anymore. If it made me a cheerful as you, I would become one!
ReplyDeleteHey Sandra! Thank you for the kind words. It was a very, very good weekend to boot and that helped as well. Fast though, went too fast. Happy New Week.
DeleteI am an early bird too! I love making and eating popovers, your coworkers are going to be so happy. It's time for me to make bagels again this coming weekend. I have had a huge craving. lol I hope your week is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! Love, love, love making bagels. I've brought those to work as well. They are fun to make. What kind do you like? Have you tried a pretzel bagel? Delish.
DeleteNot an early bird unless forced, but I would eat that!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alex! I'll teleport you some!
DeleteWe’ve yet to see that movie. Soon I hope. Have a great week! It sounds like you are off to a great start.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie. This week it's trainings and day one went very, very well. Happy Walking and taking pictures to you!
DeleteYay for you. I am an early bird too. And love being able to get things done before the day starts. Have a great (and delicious) week.
ReplyDeleteYes! It's wonderful to get that start in the early morning.
DeleteI am an early riser - always have been. Retired, but still get up before dawn. Have a fantastic week.
ReplyDeleteBefore dawn is an excellent time. Happy Saving and Shopping to you!
DeleteI also love getting up early and getting something done before work. Or just getting a lot done and looking at the clock and realizing you still have the whole day ahead of you. And it sounds like our made some yummy breads. I hope you can share some photos. Have a great new week.
ReplyDeleteYes! That's it for me too Erika. I look at the clock and it's like what???? I still have all this wonderful day left. So much, I love this.
DeleteI’m an early bird. I love the stillness of an early morning. Makes my day!
ReplyDeleteMe tooooooo!!! That stillness rocks!
DeleteI like those spices, but prefer my banana bread to be just banana. I rarely get up early these days, I just scoop food into Lola's bowl and get right back under the covers for a few more hours.
ReplyDeleteHey River! I get that. Some folks want their nanners only. Today it's so cold out that I could feed Bug and crawl back into my coffin for sure.
DeleteI don't give myself a whole lot of time in the morning before I leave for work but I do like to spend a bit with coffee and blogs before I head out the door.
ReplyDeleteI'm hungry now reading about all the things you made.
Hey Ann! Doesn't your job start crazy early though anyway? I can't recall for sure if you mentioned hours starting. Blogs for me before I head out to a ten hour training.
DeleteGood morning Tuesday. You have inspired me to make popovers.
ReplyDeleteHellooooooooo Granny Annie. Happy New Day! Very cool on the popovers.
DeleteHi and happy new week!! Oh, how I wish I was a morning person, but I am the complete opposite. I've always been a night owl, and most productive in the afternoon and evenings. I move slow in the mornings, but pick up speed as the day goes on. I can get up at 6am, shower, have coffee etc. and not really feel with it until about 11am. It's just how my body works. I am that person you will find in the kitchen at 8pm baking a homemade cake! Your pumpkin banana bread sounds really good! I've never made popovers, but I have made Yorkshire pudding. Is that the same thing?
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! Similar batters I believe. Though I think (not 100%), sure, though I heard tht the Yorks fall more in the middle. I get that about night owls. Years and years ago I was only a night owl. I get that side of it too. I used to be that person baking at night as well! Fun times.
DeleteYour chocolate chip pumpkin spice banana bread sounds Yummy. My son-in-law makes chocolate chip banana bread for everyone every Christmas, and I never thought of adding pumpkin spice, sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the Summer days.
~Sheri
Hi Sheri! Love that he bakes it. Does he ever do if off season? Summer is gooooone here. We have walnuts on the ground and trees'a changin' LOOOOOOVING it. Have a groovy day! Thanks for stopping in.
DeleteNo, he usually just bakes those banana chocolate chip breads at Christmastime. But we look forward to them every year. : )
DeleteI get that. Some folks only eat certain bakes on certain days. We do banana chocolate Chip all the time. Such a goodie that we enjoy it often.
DeleteYou are cooking up a storm! Everything sound delicious!
ReplyDeletehugs
Donna
Hi Donna! Thanks. Huggs back!
DeleteHOmemade popovers? Be still my heart! It all sounds wonderful. And thanks for popping by last week, too!
ReplyDeleteSo yummy, they were. The shrimp looked good on your page.
DeleteHello Ivy
ReplyDeleteStopping by to say thank you for your kind thoughts and condolences on Eddies passing.
I do hope to get back to regular blogging soon, and catch up with news.
In the meantime, my sincere thanks again to you.
All the best Jan
Thinking of you, Jan. I can understand about stepping away a bit. Big huggs.
DeleteI would love to taste your bakes...they sound delicious.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose. The idea is to get some of these in PDF form for easy printing.
DeleteI'm so glad I stopped by....what a fun blog. I love baking...even though I don't post my goodies on my blog. Seems like whatever I cook/bake is gone before I even get a chance to grab pictures. I am always looking for new recipes. Will definitely be following you..
ReplyDeleteHey Shug. That's a challenge for me at times as well. Getting the pictures taken before eating the goodies. I relate to that for sure. Thanks for dropping by today. Cheers, Ivy.
DeleteThat sounds so good. I love anything pumpkin.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! Pumpkin is gooooood. Totally agree. Thanks for stopping by today!
DeleteNot enough scenes without his shirt. You crack me up! By the way, I liked that movie a lot.
