WHO NEEDS A FRIDGE IN THE KITCHEN? NOT ME!

Now that we don't have a living room anymore, I moved the fridge AGAIN only this time, farther away and I LOVE IT!

I get up, I shoot videos and it's WONDERFUL. So much more room to create food. As for the big-ass pantry shelf, I did redo it but I'm asking too much of that poor shelf. It can't be ingredient storage, cereal, snacks, tools (like Instant Pots, Vitamix and a DeLonghi Air Fryer), PLUS a baker's rack (cavity pans, baking sheets, cheesecake pans, cooling racks).

Ack! I'm asking too much of one space.

My poor shelf is doing a so-so job at many things, instead of a really good job at one thing. Which by the way, I've changed my own work day flow to focus on one major thing per day and IT'S WORKING.

But more on that in another post, as I fear the rain drops will be falling on my head, if I don't get my booty outside and enjoy some this non-snowy day. Today's goal. Mow lawn and finish the raised beds in front of the messy porch (see picture below).

Ding, dong, I'm on it.

And that, my Boogerbutts, is what's going on in my world. What's going on in yours?

PS: Latest Spicy Vegan Reaper Noodles, video at the end. I had it yesterday for breakfast and it was GOOOOOOOD. And, dig this, I shot in in the new studio.

Hot dog. Life is good.

    1. Hi Alex. You know, I started shooting vlogs from inside the trailer for a before and after on my second channel. I'll link them here when they are done. Thanks, bunches.

Wiggy and Bug, they are always watching. Two cute spy dogs.

    1. Wiggy and Bug, yes. Wiggy LOVES to be outside most of her day. Bug, she likes to be on the couch, most of her day, with trips out on the back deck to the sun spots.

      How's your toe feeling? OUCH!

  3. Yum. It looks and sounds good. What flavour do the amino acids add? I don't think I have ever seen them here.
And I love that your feet happy dance - even if the rest of you is occupied elsewhere.

    1. Hey Sue. I would describe Braggs as a cleaner soya sauce taste. It's adds a bit of salt but, richer and cleaner tasting to me. Works real well when making thicker sauces too. But it is salty so sometimes Coconut aminos work well too, that's cleaner but sweeter taste.

Thank you for taking the time to watch. Yes, my feet are under the table swinging my my hands are chopsticking the best spicy noodles in the history of ever.

    1. Hi Ginny. Thank you. I put the fridge off to the far wall of just where the kitchen stops and the old living room started. We live in a trailer so it's like one long hallway. It is still within reach but so nice to have out of the way. It's now next to the pantry shelf, which is fully in the old living room. THank you for asking. And for stopping in today.

  5. The spicy noodles look good! We can always use more room in a kitchen can't we? I dream of a walk in pantry but I sure don't have that much room. Love the dogs at the door - so cute!

  7. Hi Ivy, that food looks soooooooooo good and it's made me hungry! Seems like you have been busy getting things reorganized. I did some tidying today, too - took everything out of my closet, sorted things, put winter things away and took 2 sacks of stuff to the thrift shop. Now I have more space! Enjoy your day, take care, hugs, Valerie

Wow, look at you go. Love what you got done today. Does it feel wonderful? 2 sacks to take the the thrift store is wonderful.

    1. Woohoo! Same here, very nice. I don't know how warm but I do know, no snow and I was able to finish mowing. No rain. Thanks, Christine. This is an easy dish to add your meat too. Or even make with low-carb noodles.

    1. Hi Sandy. Thank you. I had it again today for breakfast. I love the noodle dishes. Hope your hubby enjoys it too. Any kind of protein works. My mom would add chicken for sure and she would skip the heat. That's what is wonderful about noodles. We can toss in anything to make it work.

  15. Yeah, I was told amino acids could be replaced by soy sauce if you needed to. I haven't got round to watching that video yet. Been a tad busy with Matt lately.

    1. Hi Jo. I never bought soya sauce because I find it's too strong. I did buy another sauce though, with a T another soya thing. So salty. Yikes. No. I get that you are busy with Matt. I wish I lived closer and I would help you out for sure.

  16. Hi Ivy! You know I think that dish you made on the video looks delicious. Your post resonates with me in that I often make a space try to do too much. This is really a good thing to chew on for a while as I've stalled in my minizing/decluttering/whatever it is, it's not happening at the moment. Looking at spaces with that thought in mind will help, I think. Have great rest of the week!

    1. Hi Becki! Thank you for your comment. I love reading stuff like this.

It's so true. This is something that I've done with rooms too. We had once a room that's now Hubby's office and we used to put storage, fabric, sewing stuff, holiday stuff. This was prior to The Great Declutter of 2016 (when I ditched 95 percent of my stuff). But that poor room. I just asked too much of it.

Same with myself too. I was asking too much of stuff so I started staying no to things and now I do less in a day but with MUCH BETTER results. It's heaven.

Have you read, The ONE Thing by Gary Keller? It really helped me get where I knew I wanted to go, but I just needed that extra boost to help me out.

  17. You don't have a living room? Where do you do your relaxing time? I need my fridge in my kitchen, there's nowhere else it could be. I like it close to the sink, so handy for putting things away after shopping and handy for getting out ingredients when cooking.
I love your super happy header picture. May I borrow it to print out? I'll hang it in my own kitchen.

    1. Hi River! Yes, of course. What's mine is yours. I also emailed you to the file cartoon. Thank you for the smile. You made my morning.

No, no, we got rid of it a little bit ago to make room for my wood projects. But Hubby has been wanting me to use the extra space for my studio/kitchen stuff for awhile. I finally made the jump.

      Pure heaven.

But I totally get and respect you using your fridge close and the sink. I write food, test food, do photography and shoot videos so for me, the fridge and the pantry shelf are not the main characters needed in the studio. Instead I have a place for gear and lighting that stays up 24/7.

Relax time ... Oh my gosh so many places. Great question too. We have a loveseat/reading couch in Tim's office. A little cafe table on the back deck, a Magic Floaty Table on the back deck, stairs on the back deck and front porch. I often sit out there and day dream, read, sip a cuppa. Then we have the bedroom with a big-ass sleigh bed and lastly, the kitchen table for reading, eating, day dreams or shucking peanuts. Oh ... and the floor. I often just sit on the floor, too.

Thanks again for the big smile. You are welcome to any of my art/photos anytime.

But for sure once we set a time, it will be a BUNCH of fun. Tim games with the goobers all the time via chat like that. They had to do it years ago when everyone moved farther away from each other. Great fun they have. Thank you. I love spring and noodles!
