I get up, I shoot videos and it's WONDERFUL. So much more room to create food. As for the big-ass pantry shelf, I did redo it but I'm asking too much of that poor shelf. It can't be ingredient storage, cereal, snacks, tools (like Instant Pots, Vitamix and a DeLonghi Air Fryer), PLUS a baker's rack (cavity pans, baking sheets, cheesecake pans, cooling racks).
Ack! I'm asking too much of one space.
My poor shelf is doing a so-so job at many things, instead of a really good job at one thing. Which by the way, I've changed my own work day flow to focus on one major thing per day and IT'S WORKING.
But more on that in another post, as I fear the rain drops will be falling on my head, if I don't get my booty outside and enjoy some this non-snowy day. Today's goal. Mow lawn and finish the raised beds in front of the messy porch (see picture below).
Ding, dong, I'm on it.
And that, my Boogerbutts, is what's going on in my world. What's going on in yours?
PS: Latest Spicy Vegan Reaper Noodles, video at the end. I had it yesterday for breakfast and it was GOOOOOOOD. And, dig this, I shot in in the new studio.
Hot dog. Life is good.
Before Shot - Taken Today |
I see somebody watching you!
ReplyDeleteI'll almost want to see a layout of your home.
Hi Alex. You know, I started shooting vlogs from inside the trailer for a before and after on my second channel. I'll link them here when they are done. Thanks, bunches.
DeleteWiggy and Bug, they are always watching. Two cute spy dogs.
The dogs want to be outside too :-)
ReplyDeleteWiggy and Bug, yes. Wiggy LOVES to be outside most of her day. Bug, she likes to be on the couch, most of her day, with trips out on the back deck to the sun spots.
DeleteHow's your toe feeling? OUCH!
Yum. It looks and sounds good. What flavour do the amino acids add? I don't think I have ever seen them here.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love that your feet happy dance - even if the rest of you is occupied elsewhere.
Hey Sue. I would describe Braggs as a cleaner soya sauce taste. It's adds a bit of salt but, richer and cleaner tasting to me. Works real well when making thicker sauces too. But it is salty so sometimes Coconut aminos work well too, that's cleaner but sweeter taste.
DeleteThank you for taking the time to watch. Yes, my feet are under the table swinging my my hands are chopsticking the best spicy noodles in the history of ever.
The noodles look so fancy and good! So, WHERE did you put the fridge? Reading about your appliances, you must be an awesome cook!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ginny. Thank you. I put the fridge off to the far wall of just where the kitchen stops and the old living room started. We live in a trailer so it's like one long hallway. It is still within reach but so nice to have out of the way. It's now next to the pantry shelf, which is fully in the old living room. THank you for asking. And for stopping in today.
DeleteThe spicy noodles look good! We can always use more room in a kitchen can't we? I dream of a walk in pantry but I sure don't have that much room. Love the dogs at the door - so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bonnie! Walk-in pantry, that does sound nice. A little room just for ingredients. My grandma had one and I loved it. Thanks for stopping in and boogie boogie.
DeleteI see two little faces at the door!
ReplyDeleteI spy two pups. Thanks, Debra! Just finished mowing. Woohoo. Hope your day went well.
DeleteHi Ivy, that food looks soooooooooo good and it's made me hungry! Seems like you have been busy getting things reorganized. I did some tidying today, too - took everything out of my closet, sorted things, put winter things away and took 2 sacks of stuff to the thrift shop. Now I have more space! Enjoy your day, take care, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie! I saw your videos but wasn't able to comment. Loved seeing the little duckies and even the two bikers that swung by. That's fun.
DeleteWow, look at you go. Love what you got done today. Does it feel wonderful? 2 sacks to take the the thrift store is wonderful.
Your noodles look so good! We have great weather today, it's warmed up finally 19C
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Same here, very nice. I don't know how warm but I do know, no snow and I was able to finish mowing. No rain. Thanks, Christine. This is an easy dish to add your meat too. Or even make with low-carb noodles.
Delete19C in Oz has people putting on jackets and gloves :)
DeleteMy living room is currently 18C and I've just turned on the heater.
We've had our heater on a great deal of the spring as well. Burrrr.
Deletesounds like progress-your dish looks delish Happy weekend-hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! Thank you. Weekend hugs right back to you.
DeleteI love how you move stuff around to suit YOUR needs! Go you.
ReplyDeleteThat dish looks so darn wonderful....my belly is growling.
And yes, your two 'biggest fans' are the cutest.
Thanks, Suz. Hubby has been telling me to take over the living room for so long but I finally did it and wow, what a great thing. Thanks for the visit. You in the pool today?
DeleteYou sound ask busy. Wish I could get things done around here. You cracked me up with the boogerbutts
ReplyDeleteHi Ann. I saw you have a blog but nothing on it. I joined. Boogerbutts, yes, long time name for my blogging buddies. What's holding you back from getting things done?
DeleteYou don’t stop much HW.
ReplyDeleteHi Marie! I promise you that I do. I have wonderful lazy days and get to sit and read, and daydream it's heaven. But I also love my job so that helps. Happy Weekend!
DeleteAww your dogs look adorable! 😘
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nil! That's Wiggy on the left and Bug on the right.
DeleteThat looks SO delicious~ ... My husband would love it. I'll have to him watch the video later. We have an air fryer and really like it.
ReplyDeletethanks for the video - yum.
Hi Sandy. Thank you. I had it again today for breakfast. I love the noodle dishes. Hope your hubby enjoys it too. Any kind of protein works. My mom would add chicken for sure and she would skip the heat. That's what is wonderful about noodles. We can toss in anything to make it work.
DeleteYeah, I was told amino acids could be replaced by soy sauce if you needed to. I haven't got round to watching that video yet. Been a tad busy with Matt lately.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo. I never bought soya sauce because I find it's too strong. I did buy another sauce though, with a T another soya thing. So salty. Yikes. No. I get that you are busy with Matt. I wish I lived closer and I would help you out for sure.
DeleteHi Ivy! You know I think that dish you made on the video looks delicious. Your post resonates with me in that I often make a space try to do too much. This is really a good thing to chew on for a while as I've stalled in my minizing/decluttering/whatever it is, it's not happening at the moment. Looking at spaces with that thought in mind will help, I think. Have great rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteHi Becki! Thank you for your comment. I love reading stuff like this.
DeleteIt's so true. This is something that I've done with rooms too. We had once a room that's now Hubby's office and we used to put storage, fabric, sewing stuff, holiday stuff. This was prior to The Great Declutter of 2016 (when I ditched 95 percent of my stuff). But that poor room. I just asked too much of it.
Same with myself too. I was asking too much of stuff so I started staying no to things and now I do less in a day but with MUCH BETTER results. It's heaven.
Have you read, The ONE Thing by Gary Keller? It really helped me get where I knew I wanted to go, but I just needed that extra boost to help me out.
You don't have a living room? Where do you do your relaxing time? I need my fridge in my kitchen, there's nowhere else it could be. I like it close to the sink, so handy for putting things away after shopping and handy for getting out ingredients when cooking.
ReplyDeleteI love your super happy header picture. May I borrow it to print out? I'll hang it in my own kitchen.
Hi River! Yes, of course. What's mine is yours. I also emailed you to the file cartoon. Thank you for the smile. You made my morning.
DeleteNo, no, we got rid of it a little bit ago to make room for my wood projects. But Hubby has been wanting me to use the extra space for my studio/kitchen stuff for awhile. I finally made the jump.
Pure heaven.
But I totally get and respect you using your fridge close and the sink. I write food, test food, do photography and shoot videos so for me, the fridge and the pantry shelf are not the main characters needed in the studio. Instead I have a place for gear and lighting that stays up 24/7.
Relax time ... Oh my gosh so many places. Great question too. We have a loveseat/reading couch in Tim's office. A little cafe table on the back deck, a Magic Floaty Table on the back deck, stairs on the back deck and front porch. I often sit out there and day dream, read, sip a cuppa. Then we have the bedroom with a big-ass sleigh bed and lastly, the kitchen table for reading, eating, day dreams or shucking peanuts. Oh ... and the floor. I often just sit on the floor, too.
Thanks again for the big smile. You are welcome to any of my art/photos anytime.
Sounds like you're busy Whisk! We're still in lockdown here in the UK. Haven't been to work for 7 weeks now, everybody's moaning they wanna go back.......not me, I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteHi Ray! Oh my gosh, Tim would so love to be in lockdown. Poor guy still at work but ... to be honest, we are thankful for that. Glad you are enjoying your time home. That's the best. How are you girls doing? Have you gotten out to see Lurker at all?
DeleteMy girls are getting a little bored now, and wish they could go back to school, but I can't see them going back until the next school year in September?
DeleteHaven't seen Fran in the flesh for a few years now, but we meet up every Monday evening online on Zoom as well as all the other Rejects. He's still as miserable as ever!
I love that you guys do the ZOOM. Tim and his buddies have been gaming online for a long time but I think it's Hangouts. Not sure the name. Wow, not until Sept. Bless your wife and you!
DeleteOh, thank you, another earworm!!! ;-) We still wait for rain over here.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, looks yummy, BBQ tonight here, though!
We cannot move the fridge. The stupid German has it all in one piece, the whole darn kitchen the pre-owners bough!
But it keeps falling apart, hmmm, good or bad?
What did I miss???? Is it Halloween already or are you just a pumpkin-lover?
Hi Iris! Those little Halloween pumpkins have been alive since last Autumn. So cute and the plastic ones I'll put in the shed after I do the porch. But I LOVE HALLOWEEN. LOVE IT!
DeleteOh wow, you can't move your kitchen stuff. Is it all built-into the walls? Hope you get rain soon.
Hi Ivy oh your noodles look so yummy, great post my friend ,stay safe and take care xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. They are super duper yummy. Stay safe and here's to lots of yummy foods.
DeleteEverything looks delicious. And if you don't need it close, why not move it wherever you like!
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanie! So true. I need tripods and light stands so they have for sure won out over Ethel (that's the name of my fridge). Thanks for stopping by. Happy Weekend!
DeleteAw, those two little faces! Soooooooooo cute. And that dish...very yummy. Today was garden day. Loved it. Spring is such an awesome season. And let's do a video chat, wonder woman. Would love to do that in the next few days if you're up to it. You can show me around your place and I'll show you around mine if that's okay. And we can FINALLY do a chat in (virtual) person :)
ReplyDeleteHelllooooo Martha. It's Smoochie Face's Bday weekend (when we usually take off for his 10-Day BDay Staycation), but this year it's gonna just be a weekend and then a couple date nights. But for sure once we set a time, it will be a BUNCH of fun. Tim games with the goobers all the time via chat like that. They had to do it years ago when everyone moved farther away from each other. Great fun they have. Thank you. I love spring and noodles!
DeleteI really love this recipe and going to try it with...steak(lol) Because I haven't quite grasped the meatless life. The only place I could move my fridge is out the back door, but I'd have to keep a lock on it for sure.(lol) Glad it worked out for you to give you lots more room. Air Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteHey Ro! Thank you. Noodle dishes are fun. Any protein can work. Very cool and thank you. Air hugs, back.
DeleteI'm not moving anything, anywhere. My place is small. 1 bdrm apartment. I'm glad you're having a good time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. Sending you and your family well-wishes.
DeleteThose smiling pumpkin and doggie sure would bring a smile to any face
ReplyDeleteHi Dora! Thank you. Happy Sunday.
DeleteI may have to change my dinner menu now and make this instead. But I had noodles yesterday. Ugh, decisions, decisions. I think I'm going to have Jason make me some raised beds for the garden this weekend. I cleared out my other two, but a girl can always use more, right?
ReplyDeleteVery cool on more beds, I am garden worlds behind since changing the studio/kitchen around. Noodles. They are so fun and changable into anything. Love it. About to have some after this but different ones. These little chubby noodles. That's not their real name. lol. Thanks, Theresa.
DeleteFood looks great and I just love the dogs at the door :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Hi Jan. Thank you. I have a friend who eats low-carb noodles. That could work here too but the carrots might not. But maybe matchstick swede/rutabaga slices could add a nice crunch.
