I Miss Waffles

It's been forever since I wrote a new waffle formula and now, I'm ready to get back to it. Only this time, the ingredient list will be even smaller than before. But that only gives way to imagination, creativity and an overall, let's give this a go and see if it works.

My idea, to use a homemade millet flour combined with sorghum flour. I love how these two work in griddle cakes, so I'm curious how they'll play out in waffles.

Have you ever eaten chicken and waffles? Oh my good gosh, so yummy. If I get this new waffle formula right, I might just skip the Sunday roast, and make this instead.

In other news, Frankenberry just ran to the post and I'm about to drink a healing concoction too gross to tell you about. But it works, so ding dong, me.

  2. Waffles are very good. I've never had chicken and waffles though.

Blueberry waffles for me, with maple syrup, honey, or brown sugar.

  4. It's funny, but I love pancakes but have never liked waffles or crepes. Strange, I know, but this has always been the way for me. Ivy, your bat is enchanting, I love it! :)

    1. That's interesting. But to me, there are sooo many different kinds of pancakes/griddle cakes. What kind do you fancy?

  5. I've never tried chicken and waffles but I sure can imagine that it would be so delicious. My honey bunny LOVES waffles, especially those big ones.

    1. That's what we have, we call it the Double Butt Waffle Iron. Makes two at once and they are big. Freeze well, too.

  10. seems if it works for pancakes, it will work for waffles...and, Whisk, I have to say that Chicken and Waffles do NOT sound very good to me...(i don't much like chicken to start with)..they just don't go together, girl.

    1. I can understand you not liking the combo, especially if you don't fancy chicken.

My griddle cakes aren't fluffy like an American pancake. Rather, the griddle cakes are sturdy little rounds filled with seeds and yum. Delish, but nothing like that fluffy American-style (also yummy), pancake.
