How am I so tired? I even slept the last two nights.
Yet today, I cannot keep my flippin' eyes open. Ugh. Although the headache is gone, so that's good. But I haven't baked or cooked a thing today. In fact, I was out of homemade bagels so for breakfast, I schmeared cream cheese on plain potato (crisps) chips, and topped them with raw jalapenos, because I'm outta lox.
It didn't taste good.
I've had way too many days like that! I only got four hours of sleep last night, so I'm having a tough time keeping my eyes open during this mid-afternoon slump. Hope you get a burst of energy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, sorry you've had way too many days like this. Oy, I hate it. Meanwhile, I'm headed back to The Lemon Tart Room. Just came out for a warm cuppa and to check emails. Though, I really should just dunk my face in a sink-full of iced cubes, but burrrrrr.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to get going in the summer. The heat makes it difficult to sleep at night and the long, long days throw off my sleep schedule. That, and the cats jump on me at 6 am. Furry little jerks. I hope you perk up later in the day. :)
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling only too well. These days, I'm so fatigued, I fall asleep upright!
ReplyDeleteHope you get cured soon! Due to all the t-storms, it's about the same here.
ReplyDeleteChristian: Sorry the summer heat has got you moving slow. Bug likes to wake me in the middle of the night for a moonlight pee.
ReplyDeleteNorma: Upright? Oy, not good. Not good.
Pam: Me too. Thanks. Stay safe from the those storms. We had a tornado touch down near here. Not a fan. Stay safe!
Sorry about breakfast. Sometimes substitutions can work but it sounds like that didn't (but I would probably try it if offered). My favourite winning substitution was living in the dorm at school and eating boxed hamburgers with boxed waffles as the bun. It was surprisingly good - though I haven't done it on purpose again.
ReplyDeleteHope your sleep/awake rhythm figures itself out soon.
I have seen that but not tried it yet. Though we love chicken and waffles.
DeleteThanks, me too.
I was out of bread too for dinner, so I had to bake some wholewheat scones, but I didn't have club soda for it, so I had to go out to the shop and that just ruined my lazy day......
ReplyDeleteOh you poor darling ... :)
DeleteHope you were able to enjoy the rest of your day, Dezzy.
DeleteI can sooooooo relate to that image.
ReplyDeleteLooking like a lot of us are going through this.
DeleteGuess you should have saved some of those cherry pies. That would have been a yummy breakfast. Sounds like you need some energy food. Or maybe one of your smoothies.
ReplyDeleteI really do need a juice. Had one yesterday, and that was good. None today. But you are right b/c I have been eating too much sugar. Ugh.
DeleteWell, you certainly work really hard around there, so perhaps it's all catching up to you? Sometimes we crash after we've been going at full speed for so long. Maybe your body just needs to recharge that battery!
ReplyDeleteThanks but honestly I am way behind and during this last month, I have not worked hard or gotten much done. Time to get out of Slacker City, and back on schedule.
DeleteOh no, hope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's the jalapenos that make it not taste good.
ReplyDeleteHave you had your thyroid checked recently?
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that wouldn't taste very well
ReplyDeleteI don't know that sounds pretty good to me.
ReplyDeleteJalapenos make everything better. That is why I always have some quick Japanese styled pickled Jalapenos in the frig.
cheers, parsnio
It was the potato chip that didn't work for me. Because I love cream cheese and jalapeno together.
DeleteLast week I was almost all the time like this!
ReplyDeleteI was with flu and daugther has the same now (:
