My Stumbling Block

I'm supposed to be working on Etsy today.  Taking pictures of blankets, writing ad copy, cropping and all that gunk.  But I gotta tell ya, I'm not enjoying it.

I'd rather be jogging or rewriting an entire manuscript.  But since my legs are resting today and the manuscript is done, I thought I'd be a good girl and get Etsy going.

Only that ain't happening.

So I made these banana cakes.  Half filled with Nutella and half filled with vanilla cream cheese icing.

It's not Etsy but at least it was fun.

If you're new here, you can see just how long this has been a stumbling block for me, by clicking Stupid Sewing Room and Ding Dong the Witch is Dead.

Now I really should get to work.  Oh wait, Tim just called and is bringing home supper.  Guess I can't get to it now.

Gosh darn it.  So close.

  1. Ha ha! You're as good a procrastinator as I am ;D

  2. Flea: And the thing is, I'm not like this with my writing or even training (jogging). Those things I get done. But when it comes to this room ... Ugh.

    Make that double ugh.

Have a great weekend. Everything Rachel is making sounds GREAT!

  3. Banana bread with chocolate? Now that is awesome!

  4. That is way too decadent...but it seemed the better thing to do. When shall I expect mine??

  5. That looks delicious! I once ate a whole tub of nutella in the course of an afternoon.

  6. Oooh, nutella. Drooling on the keyboard.

  7. Could you make something that doesn't make me want to reach through my screen and snatch one while you're not looking? I can almost taste how good it would be and I have nothing here to eat for breakfast except toast. blah.

  8. Alex: I'm about to taste one of the vanilla icing ones. Haven't yet.

Chuck: Is your Blogger Teleportation button not working again?

Bartender: A whole tub? Dang. It is good stuff.

Bard: Nice to see you. Hope your weekend is going well. Fabric shop for me again.

mshatch: Finished all the lobster and crab, did ya? Looks like you had a wonderful holiday.

  9. It has been a stumbling block a while, but one day soon I'm sure it'll just happen. That's the way of things. In the meantime, your distractions when they result in food are very distracting for us too..!

  10. Porky: Buying new fabric helped. Tomorrow I'm going to make Miss Wiggy her new blanket. Funny too, when I showed her the fabric she started wiggling that butt of hers.

    Too cute.

  11. Whilst you're not looking, I'll just reach through the computer and help myself to those banana cakes.

  12. Just had one from the freezer, in fact.
