Thanks Everyone

You guys are the best bloggers, ever. I did what Ckutalik said and bam, it worked. To celebrate, I've made chocolate chip muffins for everyone.

In other news, this is my 99th post and almost 5 months of blogging. And this past weekend I hit 190 Readers. Holy cupcakes. Thanks so much. It's been great fun getting to know you and I love having you all at my virtual dinner table.

And now, it's time to make homemade vanilla whipped topping for Tim's ice cream, and maybe sneak in one Doctor Who before we hit the slab.

Until next time, Happy Eating.

  1. The muffins look great! But I don't think there are enough chocolate chips (are there ever?). I need to introduce you to Sean's Way-Too-Much-Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies. There's just enough cookie dough to hold the chocolate chips together!

  2. Those are some sweet-looking muffins (double meaning intended). Glad that my luddite self could actually help.

  3. Sean's Way-Too-Much-Chocolate Chip Cookies? I am going to try making those.

Hi Brutorz and Trey. Made 'em for you all. Appreciate the help and all you fun bloggers.

Bunches of thanks, Chutalik. For whatever reason, Blogger is being bad but if I have to do this for a bit, that's okay. Everything is working and that is great.

Done with Doctor Who. So so sleepy. Wishing you all a yummy rest of your day.

  4. Wow. I am totally envious of your baking skills. I'm not too shabby a cook (though I think using shabby and cook in the same sentence may not be the wisest way to go) but I can't seem to bake.

Too many exact rules and measurements to follow. Just like in my games, fast and loose is how I work best.

Those muffins look fantastic HW. Look forward to the next thing that makes me hunger.

  5. DOn't even think of asking me to bake. I'm an okay cook, as long as you don't mind that its barbequed, and burned...

  9. I thought about using the html, but was in a hurry and did it the usual way - and it worked! Either there's another factor at work, the problem's been fixed, or ckutalik speaks and the world shifts. I'd like to believe it's the last. Those muffins make me very happy too!

  11. Those muffins are made with wheaten flour, unrefined sugars, grain sweetened chocolate and fiber. Mmmmm, nothing says yummy like a chocolate chip muffin that helps you poo.

  13. While my ego would prefer "ckutalik speaks and the world doth shift", sadly I think it is otherwise.

  14. You were brilliant. And you still helped me even after I teased the Texans who rocked their bathrooms medieval-style. Much appreciated.

  15. Those look great! How do you get the chocolate not to sink to the bottom?

  16. The formula I wrote for these uses a wheaten flour and an unrefined sugar that is molasses-rich. Also, I don't over mix the batter or add too much wet ingredients.

Then, right before I put the pan in the oven, I cast a level-6 chocolate don't fall to the bottom, spell.

  19. cha cha chakalate! Fab muffins! (the ones in the pics) I love a good chip studded little cakey thing :)

you know... if you slightly dampen the chips and toss them in a little flour, they will stay suspended in the mix and not sink to the depths of muffin tin hell. I'm just sayin...

  20. I've not had a problem with mine sinking, but that's a great tip, Toby. Much thanks and nice to see you here. Happy eating.
