Done finished my chores and our house is clean for the weekend. Woohoo. Just have to adjust the seasonings on my homemade onion dip and then it's bedtime for me.
Meanwhile, check out all the chickens Ethel can hold. That's four whole chickens (on half a shelf). And I can fit four more chickens on that same shelf.
Ethel looks great! I miss my AF...auxillary fridge broke down earlier this winter and now I am managing with just the one...so much storage room! I will just send my extra groceries your way to keep with Ethel!
NICE fridge! And I love clean sheets too--wrestling them onto the bed is another matter, but it just feels nice at the end of a long day to have something fresh and new-smelling :)
Clean sheet day does rock. We like to hang our laundry out on the line. Italy has been having a crazy rainy winter so we haven't had line dried sheets for a while. Looks like the sun is going to be out for the next several days though.
That's probably more space than they had in the coop. A chook heaven?
I've also never heard the term 'clean sheet day' that I remember. I learnt something new again! 'A clean sheet' is also used in the sense of a fresh start, and as 'keep a clean sheet' in sport to mean lose no points.

There's a lot of overlap between the two contexts though, in the sense of getting back to zero. I love being up to date with all the odd jobs - doesn't happen often though..!
Ah ... to line dry the sheets, that really is the best, Johnathan. Also, I'm all signed up to your wife's blog. Looking forward to reading more.
Thanks for the link, Porky. Clean sheet day is one of my favorite days. And I agree, Jess, wrestling them on is another matter. But it sure felt great to rest knowing the house is clean for the weekend.
As for today, I done finished my morning chores, and the onion dip is resting along with the Italian sub dressing I made last night.
Clean sheets...awww. (which reminds me, time for a change..) Haven't eaten anything super yummy this week, but getting ready for Sunday!! Superbowl for me, is all about the appetizers and commercials ~ :) Maybe I'll add onion dip to the list. Yum. Have a good one!
I love clean sheets, especially crisp cottons ones in the summer.
ReplyDelete"Bring me four fried chickens and a Coke." :)
ReplyDeleteHomemade onion dip? When can I come over? LOL Sounds scrumptious. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteNothing like clean sheet day. Especially after a warm bubble bath and a glass of wine. *sigh*

ReplyDeleteI love clean sheets especially the fluffy winter ones. aww Ethel what a woman! lol
ReplyDeletePlanning a major Super Bowl chicken snack?
ReplyDeleteFriday is clean sheet day here too - love the smell of a freshly made bed.
ReplyDeleteThat freezer is extreme; do you have plans for it, of a sinister nature? Four large chickens would be roughly equivalent to a well-folded bloke ;)
Four whole chickens? That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteYeppers. Four whole chickens on half a fridge shelf. And I could have fit four more. Ethel is amazing. I just love her.
ReplyDeleteWow, 4 whole chickens on just half?? I think you have my dream fridge :D
ReplyDeleteEthel is a good girl. Four chickens? Nice!!!
