DREAM BUBBLES

Boy ... I'm tired. It's the good end of a fun and full day in the kitchen kinda tired. Today's playtime included dehydrating mushrooms, deep cleaning the fridge and experimenting with homemade oat and cashew yoghurt. Really excited to see how the yoghurt turns out.

In other news, I finally pulled the trigger on a new air fryer. Well, sorta kinda. This time instead of a regular air fryer, I went with an air fryer lid. The lid itself is the air fryer (heating element + fan). The idea is that the lid sits on top of the pressure cooker, turning the instapot into an air fryer. The air fryer lid also works on pots, pans and skillets.

I'm not sure how well this will work but I am gonna have a blast giving it a go.

In other, other news, I crocheted my first bag. I'm still finishing the handle. So after that's done, I'll share photos.

And that my Boogerbutts is all that's fit to print. Very, very sleepy. A good sleepy.

Chat with you tomorrow.

Huggs & Bugs, Me.

    1. Hey River. They've been out for awhile now though I haven't been ready to pull the trigger. The air fryer I use as of this writing, has bottom and top heating elements and is much stronger in wattage. Still, curious to play. Do you air fry?

    1. Hi Donna. Tonight it will be in my hot little hands. Will post images next week. Gonna play, play, play. To help visualize, it's just a big lid that holds a fan and heating element. Sorta looks like a funky hat.

    1. Thank you. I got all good and rested. Back at the fun today. Lid getting used tonight. Cannot wait! The air fryer lids have been out for awhile. Though I wasn't ready. Now that my old air fryer is on her last legs, figured it was a good time to give it a go. Seen mixed reviews though. Curious to play. Will for sure post the bag and the air fryer lid. Loved your hearts!!!! So fun.

  24. I had a really nice air fryer but it took up tons of room. It could used as a regular oven also. However, when I moved a yr ago, my stove does the regular baking, it is also a convention oven, an air fryer....I think that is it!! lol....So I gave my big Cuisinart air fryer to my future granddaughter in law, (is that a term?). I also gave her my instant pot. I only cooked chicken in it for the dogs and was not a fan of it. Although, I have a couple of friends that cook just about every meal in them. Sorry, been a while since I have been around to visit.

    1. Hi Pam. I love that you were able to home your old one and enjoy the new setup you have. I get that about the instapot. I do use mine a lot. So much so that I have a mini and an extra large one. But if I wasn't using it much, I'd do the same as you and give it away as well. Kinda frees up the kitchen to focus on the tools/toys we do use. I'm all for that!

  25. Not heard of that sort of air fryer before but it will be interesting to see how well it works. Shame it was damaged on arrival and hope a replacement works just right for you. I do love a bit of crochet and your bag sounds like a great (nearly)finished project. Looking forward to the pics.

    1. I ended up returning that brand and going with a store with a door and a different brand. This way, it's easier to return. It's neat because the lid itself can go on other pots and pans. The heating element and fan are in the lid. Should be fun.

Crocheting is fun. I ended up finishing that bag and also making a smaller one. I used the smaller crossbody strap bag when I went out this week. Very, very nice little bag.
