BLOW THIS SUCKER UP
It's been awhile and here's why. I've been working behind the scenes, followed by a 10-day staycation but also, I don't enjoy my blog space, anymore. Since I don't like my page, I don't come here. My blog feels cluttered, cramped, crowded, and useless, but in real life that's not how I feel. And since this blog has always been a mirror of my life - it's time to fix this space to reflect that.
So, I'm shutting down my blog to rebuild her. We have the technology (Bionic Woman reference - I still own/watch that show and love it!).
This space may show an invite only notice, but that's NOT true. It'll be shut down for everyone until I rebuild. You'll still be able to reach me on email.
Thanks for being a part of my old life. But now, it's time for me to blow this sucker up and start fresh.

Oh how exciting! A REBUILD!!! I'm 100% behind you and I'll still be watching you on YouTube and IG!!! :)ReplyDelete
Btw...the only voice I heard when you mentioned that "we have the technology" was the late and great Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson) :)
Woohoo for hearing Oscar. Yes, that's what I heard in my head, too.Delete
Thank you for your support and new friendship. I'm glad Martha introduced us (I found you through her blog).
Me too!!! :) I'm so glad to have met you Ivy! :))Delete
Thank you! It's great fun to get to know each other. This thing called Internet. Not too shabby.Delete
Just made hot chocolate and now to do video edits. What are you up to today?
Hot chocolate...too hot for that! :) Today and most days until Halloween are all about the porch life, the garden, walks in the woods with the dogs and spending as much time outside as possible! I get terrible cabin fever in the winter so I take advantage of the nice weather as often as I can!Delete
I'm in the office and we have a fan that blows cold air. I dunno how it does it.Delete
Being outside is THE BEST. I want to go play in the woods but today, I'm chained to the desk. Maybe later.
Sorry you get cabin fever. Not fun!
Can't wait to see the new and improved blog!ReplyDelete
Much thanks, Alex.Delete
How goes the air frying adventures? I'm about ready to upgrade mine to a DeLonghi.
Onwards... glad we have you on Instagram though.ReplyDelete
Yes, I recently got back to IG and boy, did I miss it. So fun.
Hope you're having a yummy day!
Best wishes and good luck HW.ReplyDelete
Much thanks, Marie.Delete
Hey are you on Instagram? Great place to share photos of your adventures.
Okay, Ivy, I look forward to seeing your new, improved blog! Have fun -- KABOOM!ReplyDelete
KABOOM! Great word.
We shall see you when the time comes.ReplyDelete
Sometimes change is necessary! Blow this up and rebuild!ReplyDelete
Agreed! Plus, it will be nice to have all my social accounts right here. Everything in one spot.Delete
Very pretty here today. Hope the sun is bright and you guys are getting out and having fun. I'm locked indoors until lunch, where I'll eat outside.
Can't wait to see the new one.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Dawn. I'm excited to bring everything to one place. One home on the Internet.Delete
Any chance I can tempt you to come over to the YouTube world and make videos of your yummy foods?
I thought of doing a re do on my blog...Can't wait for a new adventure with youReplyDelete
Coffee is on
Hi Dora. What are you looking to change about your place? Fun to start fresh, I think.Delete
Totally got the Bionic Man / Woman reference! Well, aren't you the brave one - now I'm curious about what your new blog will look like! Will it still be the same name, so we can find you out there on the "interwebs"? -JennReplyDelete
Oh yeah, I'll still be The Happy Whisk on all platforms. Are you on Instagram?
Love that you got the Bionic Woman. I still watch that show!
Oh Goodness, I can not wait !ReplyDelete
Hi Gayle. Thanks. Fun to start over. Been wanting to blow this place up for awhile.Delete
Hooray for rebuilds. And fresh starts.ReplyDelete
Much thanks. Hugs, back!Delete
How exciting! Good luck! I know exactly how you feel. Did it what? Four times now. :)ReplyDelete
That's true. You are the queen of shaking things up. Cool beaners.Delete
Good luck on clearing your (internet) space. I've been cleaning out my garage and office the last few weeks (ten years of clutter...plus boxes not unpacked since our last house!), and it's been exhilarating.ReplyDelete
Thanks JB. I can tell you after getting rid of 95 percent of my stuff in real life, it's EXHILARATING I totally agree!Delete
Wow, on the ten years of clutter going away. That is wonderful. Boxes not unpacked, are they fun to go through or are they all going bye bye?
Much thanks, Gary.Delete
Good for you Ivy, I will miss you...I'm trying to figure out a few things myself;)ReplyDelete
Hi Cheri! I'll be back just doing a remodel. I'll catch you on Instagram as this blog goes dark for the remodel.Delete
What are you wanting to do with your space?
I can't wait to see what you do with it my friend!!!ReplyDelete
Hello Suzie! Much thanks for your continued support and friendship.Delete
Thinking of you.
All the best Jan
Have fun!!!!! Good for you!!!ReplyDelete
Good for you! I get it with the blog thing! I've done it myself more than once.ReplyDelete
Fun to have change. Thanks, Pam.Delete
I'm sure the new space will be super interesting!ReplyDelete
Thanks bunches. Hope you're having a fun summer. I just started to be able to mow again and I'm lovin' it. Do you still have that big honkin' yard? Or did you guys move yet? I thought I recall you talking about moving out of the big place.Delete
Thanks for the heads up.ReplyDelete
Hi Christine! Looks like my old posts, republished. Dunno why. Maybe the dot com. Anyway, thanks for stopping in!Delete
I know how you feel, Ivy. I started to feel like my posts were forced. It didn't help that blog readership seems to be down for most of us. I was finding it hard to come up with comments for the few blogs I still follow (I wish Blogger had a Like button like Wordpress has). I won't give mine up--I registered my domain for my main blog and the four extentions I have here at Blogger. Sometimes, we just have to shake things up a bit.ReplyDelete
Thank you for that comment, Norma. It's interesting to see the waves of things and how it all goes for each of us.Delete
I do like the like button too that they have on the googles. I didn't know WordPress had it as well. That's neat.
Just got my dot com all set and now I'm looking to make this space more useful to print recipes and also, to house everything. I don't have it all worked out yet but I got the dot com going.
As you say, time to shake things up.
PS And I've had to set my blogs to moderate comments, since I'm currently being bombarded by a lot of Anonymous crap.ReplyDelete
Ugh. I'm sorry you're being bombarded. That is no fun and I wish blogger did a better job with that.Delete
