The bills are paid, new dough is proving (aka proofing), and soon I'm gonna put my pink zombie shirt on and crank Bryan Adams. Today, I need to sand Tim's new walls and I think it might be warm enough to open the windows.
PS: Bagels from the weekend. These guys weigh 50g each but don't let that fool ya', they're killer good.
PPS: I've been taking lots of photos and videos (WITH ME IN THE SHOTS). None of which are here but I'm getting closer.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Those look delightful. Pass the cream cheese.

DeleteThose baby bagels are so cuuuute! Tasty too, I bet.
ReplyDelete:-)
Deletenever had bagels but wouldn't mind trying! Are they sweet or savoury? I prefer savoury to sweet anything :)
ReplyDeleteThese are savoury BUT ... over the weekend I made chocolate bread, wasn't bad, needs a tweak though.
Deleteooh, I've seen chocolate bread yesterday with melted caramels in the very middle :)
DeleteOhh, that sounds great. I could add a free from dairy, caramel drizzle to the top next time. Headed back to the new room, sand, sand sand. Will send you an email picture of the bread I did later when I'm on the tablet. On Tim's computer now.
DeleteThe chocolate bread, that is.
DeleteThanks for the inspiration!
I've also seen last week a bread with added nettle in it to make it look lovely green :) Nettle is so healthy boiled with garlic and you have it tons in your woods, I'm sure, just have to be careful when picking it :)
DeleteSo far I've only found purple dead nettle. Looking for stinging nettles. Nothing yet.
DeleteHave you ever eaten the plant called garlic mustard?
The bagels look beautiful! Have fun on the walls.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteThey look so good Ivy!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteI can never eat a whole bagel so mini bagels are the best. Yum!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteHe bagals looks delicious. Enough said!
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteOooh I love bagels and tried making them myself a few years ago but they didn't come out too good. I don't eat a lot of bread these days though.
ReplyDeleteHey Mary. Have you seen Jan's page? Click Pizza bagels made with cauliflower for details.
DeleteI don't eat eggs, dairy or pepperoni so I can't tell you myself if they're good but if Jan says they are, I believe her. Plus, you'll find lots of other non-bready treats on her blog that she runs with her honey bunny.
Enjoy!
Yes, I do know Jan's blog and have been getting some great recipes there. Thanks!
DeleteCool beans that you already know her stuff. I'm not a low-carber but lots of folks are and she's really got some great stuff for folks looking to remove the bready stuff.
DeleteCheers and boogie boogie.
I'll take a bagel! Around here, we do bagel Tuesday.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteLove yiir pink zombie shirt.
ReplyDeleteNot so sure about the bagels, they look a bit carbohydratey.
your, not yiir. Why do we always see typos flying by just as we press "Publish"?
DeleteJan and her husband have a blog that might give you better options for low carbs. Click Pizza Cauliflower Bagels, for a non-bready option.
DeleteYes, I know what you mean about the typos flying past. Too funny.
I know you don't do pepperoni but you can either leave that out or use a veggie and/or soya-based pepperoni substitute.
DeleteHow interesting, I've not made anything like these. I think they would be very tasty with the peperoni. Maybe for me, add more cheese (never a bad idea to add more cheese). Thanks for the link.
DeleteSure thing.
DeleteYour bagels look GOOD.
ReplyDeleteHappy sanding.
:-)
DeleteThe bagels look fabulous !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
:-)
DeleteI've never really developed a fondness for bagels.
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteHi Ivy, many thanks for the comments and conversations on the bagel post on the low carb diabetic blog. They are good and excellent if you low carb ... well they are excellent even if you don't low carb, they are a great alternative!
ReplyDeleteMary already follows our blog, I don't think Sheila does but she is most welcome as are all readers.
Your bagels look delicious.
Happy sanding!
I love your pink shirt.
All the best Jan
Hi Jan.
DeleteMary told me that she reads you. I just started to read Mary's blog but Sheila is a friend of mine. Excellent woman, I hope you go visit her. Her art and her soul are equally amazing.
Hello Ivy ... just been and visited Sheila, her artwork is so colourful.
DeleteHappy Thursday to you and happy baking.
All the best Jan
So glad you got to see her stuff. I love it. Her art reminds of something that should be in books.
DeleteI'll be heading your way this summer. Trying to think of what you should bake for my visit.
ReplyDeleteLOL
Talk like that will get you a bowl of rocks.
DeleteIn that case . . . I'll let you surprise me. LOL
DeleteAlways enjoy reading your posts, sounds like you are in a creative mood to sand those walls. Fun post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice words, Cheri. I know I've said this before, but I love the name of your blog. So fun.
DeleteLove the shirt and the bagels, and your choice of music to sand by...The room will look great when you are finished!
ReplyDeleteTHanks!
DeleteMMmmmmmm toasted bagels with butter. Those look great! I laughed when I was reading some of the comments before mine and you said "cool beans". That's an expression my son uses. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteCool beaners. That's another one.
DeleteFun stuff.
Sanding walls sounds like a fun job, doing it by hand with sandpaper or do you have a sanding machine? Sanding anything is beyond me since I injured my shoulders years ago. I can do bits of things like sanding, sawing etc, but not for more than a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteI've tried bagels, once, and wasn't impressed. Maybe the American version is different and better.
Hi River. Mine are Jewish bagels, not started here in the US but in Poland (my mom's side is Polish Jew). That said, there are many good bagels and just as many rubbish ones. It's amazing the differences. Ack.
DeleteSand by hand for this though there is one spot that I didn't mean to add so much joint compound too that I might just plug in the little sander.
How did you injury your shoulders?
I LOVE these little bagels. They look sooooo good. And now I'm hungry :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Martha.
DeleteGreat looking bagels!
