But I digress.
It took me 4 weeks to get rid of 80 percent of my belongings and it might take me another 4 to put everything back together including plant seeds, touch up paint and finish making blankets. But with this bee in my bonnet, today should go a long way in being closer to done.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Big blanket for a friend who LOVES cats. |
2 blankets for her cats. |
Her cats must be big Jedi fans.
ReplyDeleteIf we ditched that much of our possessions, it would take a scary amount of money to replace them.
Hi Alex - None of of my 80 percent will be replaced :-)
DeleteAlex, the idea is NOT to replace them. Attractive blankets Ivy. I hope your friend enjoys them. Sorry about the bee in your bonnet today.
ReplyDeleteThat's how I feel Jo - None of the 80 percent will be replaced.
DeletePS: I got more Canadian asparagus the other day. Oh my yum !!! And dig this, I even ate the bottoms. They weren't hard.
I see her kitties are fans of Star Wars, eh?
ReplyDeleteThey really are :)
DeleteI felt pretty good after cleaning out the drawers in the bathroom. Can't seem to get motivated to work on other rooms, though. Some day. Some day. :)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! Clean bathroom drawers are wonderful :) Keep up the great work. You can do it!!!!
DeleteThe kitties get blankets? Very good!
ReplyDeleteYeppers :)
DeleteWow you have been a busy bee.
ReplyDeleteHow goes the book sales?
DeleteYay blankets and un-pissy stevia!
ReplyDeleteYay, indeed.
Deletecute blankets! Rash begone!
ReplyDeleteI must try that spell, rash begone! Thanks :)
DeleteOUch. Go away rash. Rain showers today for me so I'm moving some furniture around for some corners cleaning.
ReplyDeleteHope you got lots done and had fun.
DeleteLove the cat blankets!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteYour header photo should be your Christmas card this year, with the words "everyone asleep in their beds waiting for St. Nick"
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip and thehamish
Good idea, Parsnip and thehamish :)
DeleteIn this house the cats claim ALL the blankets. There is a patina of fur of everything.
ReplyDeleteI hope your rash has gone. They are sooooo irritating. And even if I am good during the day I am able to scratch myself red raw in my sleep.
Fur here too with the pups. Sorry to hear you have rashes as well. Do you get them often?
DeleteSorry to hear about your rash - hope it goes soon.
ReplyDeleteLike the blankets, I'm sure your friend will too.
Take care
All the best Jan
Thanks, Jan :)
DeleteAwww, you made kitty blankets!
ReplyDeleteFun to make.
DeleteSorry to hear about the rash. Glad you were so successful in cleaning stuff out though!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bard :)
DeleteOh, what fun! Not your rash (sorry about that) but the blankets! Especially the cat blanket. Way cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd they were so fun to make. Gonna whip her up three more for her other cats.
DeleteHappy Weekend, Martha :)
These fabrics look terrific for blankets. It must feel good to make something from them and get them out of the house, I'm all for that. Many of my fabrics are way, way smaller, some smaller than napkin size.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Shelia :)
DeleteDo you quilt? I do.
No I don't quilt if you mean making a piece larger than say two feet by two feet. I "play" with fabric, that's it!
DeleteI call it playing with fabric, too. Thanks for answering.
DeleteHappy Weekend :)
You're an inspiration, Ivy. I'm still getting rid of stuff.
ReplyDeleteThank bunches for your kind words, Norma. And after I was so cranky on that morning of itching and bees in my bonnet. Your comment made me feel good. Thanks :)
DeleteI love your blog!
ReplyDeleteand love you..Mom G
Thanks, MamaG. Love you back :)
DeleteThat fabric! I love it! Your friend is going to love it.
ReplyDeleteThis spring has been the worst in many years for me for allergies and thus, eczema. I have tried a cream that works but it is insanely expensive but now as expensive as the crap carcinogenic cream that my doctor prescribed. The trees are not blooming like they were so I am better but it is hellish to be itchy and the more you itch the worse it gets. I can't take Benadryl as it makes my restless legs unbearable.
I've never had eczema but my aunt does. Yikes, Birdie. Sorry to hear you have it. I wish these creams were not insanely expensive.
DeleteI've heard about Benadryl and the weird side effects from Benadryl. One person told me it turns them into a zombie. Yikes!
I love the blankets, Ivy! I also love your header. :) I have eczema so I know how annoying it can get when one is itchy. I am so sorry about your rash, and I hope it clears up quickly. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Birdie said she has eczema as well. My aunt has it, I've never had it, but it sounds rough. Hope you don't have it all the time. Thanks for the well wishes :)
DeleteThe tea sounds good. Wow! You got rid of 80% of your belongings?! That is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI didn't plan to, I started with two ladles and the next thing I knew, I was making my entire life, simple.
