Hello Lovelies. It's been 28 days and I'm here to say that I'm alive and well, working lots of long, fun hours on my new projects. But the one thing I haven't touched yet, is building my new site, which I thought might be done by now but nope, not even close.
But enough about me. What's the last yummy thing you ate? Do tell. Do tell. Meanwhile, I'll catch y'all in another month, or by the very latest, spring.
Hugs & Bugs,
I had some really nice lemon meringue pie on the weekend! Thanks for the update and hope you're back regularly in the blogosphere soon.ReplyDelete
I love lemon stuff. Yum :-)Delete
Welcome back - briefly. I am glad that you are in productive mode.ReplyDelete
Salads still here. Mini fruit salads, green salads, and my version of a greek salad with feta and tomato and capsicum (three colours) and tomato (also three colours) and olives...
Hahaha, you crack me up and I love how much you love salad and fruit. Best stuff, ever.Delete
A little veg tart, very scrummy :-)ReplyDelete
That does sound scrummy.Delete
Good to see you, even briefly!ReplyDelete
I had French toast for lunch, which was yummy.
Love me some French Toast.
It's so nice to see you here, Wonder Woman. The highlight of this week was a delicious cream of broccoli soup. Made me wonder why I don't make it more often!ReplyDelete
Sounds yummy. I love broccoli. I love the stems too. My gosh, good eats.Delete
Why don't you make it more often?
Ivy! You've been on my mind. Good to hear from you.ReplyDelete
Thanks for thinking of me, Alex.Delete
Great to have you back, albeit briefly. Rachel and I enjoyed a quality gammon, chips and peas meal this evening!ReplyDelete
If memory serves, I think that's pig but I'm not for sure. Does Little Alice like peas? As I type to you, the girls are eating frozen peas in a toy that makes them work for the treat.Delete
Ivy! How nice to see a blog post!ReplyDelete
good to see you pop in! Last thing I had were Oreos. yum!ReplyDelete
Spring Oreos or regular?Delete
Gosh, I can't think of a thing. :)ReplyDelete
Does cabbage soup count?
Good to see your post - happy that you're busy and healthy!
It sure does count. Love me some cabbage soup. YUM!Delete
Welcome back! Yay!ReplyDelete
The last yummy meal I had was some ginger chicken I made 2 nights ago.
Hello Birdie. You, I have been thinking of. Ginger chicken. Love it. Sounds great.Delete

Hahaha, deluxe doggy treats are the best. Thanks, Penny and puppy hugs to you :-)Delete
Hello! Welcome back.ReplyDelete
For dinner I made roasted vegetables (eggplant, cauliflower, onions, and canned tomatoes) and served them over soft polenta.
Minus the corn, I love alll of that. Delish.Delete
Nice to see you're alive and well! Last yummy thing I ate...a blueberry poptart. I know, not your idea of yummy, but it tasted good to me. :)ReplyDelete
Glad to hear that your writing is going well. Have a groovy winter :-)Delete
PS: Tim loves the poptarts.
Good to see you're doing well. Hope your projects are coming along nicely! Take care of yourself friend :-)ReplyDelete
How goes your baking?Delete
Welcome back and roast lamb!ReplyDelete
Thanks and yum on the lamb.Delete
Hope you are well. I just finished the Bon Appetit 2 week food lover's cleanse and discovered many new foods including roasted root vegetables. I love me a parsnip. Who knew?ReplyDelete
I'm a major veggie eater and here to tell you there are SOOOOO many choices out there, it will blow your mind. Enjoy your food journey.Delete
Welcome back. Chicken Carbonara sandwich from Quiznos'ReplyDelete
I never had Chicken Carbonara before. I don't even know what it is, but it's a fun name to say.Delete
I made a killer bean soup this week. Easy peasy, but still delish.ReplyDelete
Yum on the bean soup.Delete
I cannot tell a lie. I had cereal--the kind for little kids, and it was good. ;)ReplyDelete
Tim likes some of those kinds of cereals too. And I laughed at the, I cannot tell a lie :-)Delete
Something I came up with to up my bacon and eggs game for mum's breakfast:ReplyDelete
Two ceramic (about ten centimetre diameter) souffle dishes. A piece of bacon lining each - large part on bottom with long narrow wrapped around inside edge. Beat two eggs in cup and pour in. Crack intact third egg ontop. Repeat for both. Put a litre of water in a flatbed roaster and place in egg dishes. Cook on eight for about twenty minutes until water vanishes. Egg should have swelled up in cooked dome. Extract from souffle dishes liberating bacon with butter knife and top with some spicy tomato chutney. One each.
Ohhh, if I could eat bacon, I'd try that. Sounds yummy. And I love eggs with tomato. Did you make your chutney?Delete
No. Store bought.Delete
Quick Home Chutney: pan roast 2 chillies, mango, onion, tomatoes. Cool and chop. Refrigerate for next day use.
You know what? That sounds like something I would love to eat and minus the mango, I have it all on hand.Delete
And I thought you were talking about the movie 28 Days Later. :) Glad to see you're still working on your projects. The last yummy thing I ate was pasta with prosciutto. Delicious!ReplyDelete
That's exactly why I used that title, for that movie. I only saw the first one, but I still dug the title.Delete
How goes your writing?
Im happy you are OK dear I was worry by you the last days .ReplyDelete
Hey Gloria. Hope your summer is going well and that you're eating lots of yummy bakes.Delete

Hi Ivy, coming in here a bit late. They say better late than never, but I am not too sure about that, it depends.ReplyDelete
Glad all is well with you and hope to see you back some day.
Last thing I ate - stewed apples (our own last year apples) from the freezer.
Love apples. Yum.Delete
Hi Ivy!!! How are you?? I'm so glad you're still out and about.. I've just recently returned myself after a MUCH longer hiatus (4 years), and I had to stop in to say hello and thank you for checking in on me over the years. I'm sad you're not as active, but glad you have so much on the go! I've missed you!ReplyDelete
Last yummy thing I ate... maybe a mustard fried double cheeseburger... I'm not afraid to admit it! ;)

Thanks for stopping in, Lorraine. I enjoy non-sweet carrot cake. How do you enjoy yours?Delete
I don't even know the ingredients, or tools I'm a total kitchen/cooking idiotReplyDelete
Hey Girl. What's the last thing you baked or cooked?Delete
I did once tried mixed overripe banana with an egg..almost tasted like pancakes of course I put syrup on it..I can cook, baking is another story all together and it's only me here and my three cats and you know they like their own food ;) you should write a very very easy to understand baking, as in Baking For Dummies/especially Lorraine, I bet you'd make a fortune, do it Whiski we'll both be popular...well you''re already popular I just post photos...ReplyDelete
but today's pretty cool, I gotta say
Yum on the nanners. We just picked up more last night. Have you ever made banana ice cream? So yummy.Delete
With regard to baking, what's the biggest challenge you face, when you bake?
Hi there!! Nice to visit your site again (yeah, I've been busy and not blogging much). Food! You're making me hungry thinking about it. :) I made some gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free chocolate chip cookies. And they were actually pretty good! Take care! and best wishes for 2016. :)ReplyDelete
Great to see you here, Carol. Many good wishes for your writing and yum, on your bake.Delete
