Ripped Out Innards

I had a good day of cleaning and moving the shelves around in Ethel (fridge). Followed by moving ALLLLLL of my various flours with the exception of nut and seed flours, to one central dark cool location. Ideally, I'd love to keep all of my flours in the fridge but there's not enough room.

SO, I gutted a few cabinets, ripped out the innards, made a HUGE mess, and found room elsewhere. Headed to take a big fat break soon. What's not done will keep 'til morning.

On the menu for Saturday night. One scary movie and several pepperoni rolls. Cheers and boogie boogie.

  1. I'll never look at my client, Ethel, the same way… though, truth be told she always did look a little boxy… hmmm.

Have fun with the scary movie and those dang good pep rolls… I'm drooling, good thing you and Ethel can't see.

    1. Fred is my big oven and Lucy is my juicer. I don't have a Ricky.

      How goes your weekend?

  2. A scary movie? It must involve Kate Hudson trying to trap Matthew McConaughey. They use those movies to make suspects in interrogation rooms spill the beans.

  5. A scary movie? It sounds like you already had a scary day!

  6. Sounds like it was a great day. I started keeping my flour in the freezer. I learned recently that it can pretty much last forever that way. Had no idea that you can do that. Keeping it in the fridge makes it last very long, as well, but there's no room in there for that.

    1. Freezer will keep longer but no room in mine, plus, I need my stuff at room temperature.

I bake several times a day!

That being said, when we move I would love a fridge for just nuts, seeds and flours. Oh, heaven.

Or, my own mini mill for on the spot flour making madness.

  7. Sounds like time well spent. With all the baking you do, I bet you go through a ton of flour.

    1. Yes, I do. And I love to use different kinds, so it will be nice to have them all in just one central location.

      What's up on your end?

    1. The Village. But we didn't finish it. After we stuffed ourselves silly, Tim went back to writing and I finished up some kitchen work.

After that, we meet back up and watched Ghost Adventures on the tablet, tucked under the covers, in the dark.

How are you feeling? Mrs. Toast wrote that you were sick.

    2. Scary movies are so fun. We like to do that on Saturday night with pizza or pepperoni rolls. Easy eating couch foods.

    1. Hey Porky - LOONNNNG time no talk. How goes you? Not sure since we didn't finish the movie. Tim's writing called him back and I wanted to finish more moving things about.

      Thanks for stopping by :-)

    2. Things are ticking over, and I hope they're at least as good and ideally much better where you are.

The reason I haven't seen a scary movie for such a long time is essentially the same you didn't finish, just having other things to do, or getting distracted by something.

Maybe our attention spans are shorter than they used to be, that two hour movies filled the time back in the day well, but are just a bit too long now. I hope not, because there's a lot I'd like to see yet.

    3. What does ticking over mean?

Normally, we finish our scary movies on Saturday night without issue. However, we stopped our projects for a supper break, and wanted to get back.

I don't feel my attention span is shorter, as I enjoy a nice slow spooky scary fun movie.

What's the last scary movie you finished? The weekend before we watched the first Friday the 13th, and enjoyed many pepperoni rolls.
