Chubba Bubba Mondays: Happy Pants

Hello Boogerbutts, and welcome to another installment of Chubba Bubba Mondays.  I'm your host, the Incredible Shrinking Whisk.

So, how'd ya all do this week?  Anything to share?  If so, please do.

For me, the start of last week was a rough one, but thankfully got better.  First thing we did, was re-adjust my schedule (again), meaning I don't work three super heavy days in a row, but instead my boss broke them up.

From there, I hurt less, was able to recover faster (spine stuff), and continue to move forward.  Less pain, meant more energy.  I've even gotten back to house projects.

Add to it that I've got a re-newed direction and goal in mind career-wise (more on that later).  And I feel good in my body.  Even with the bumps along the way, I'm happy with the progress during the last seven weeks.

So, upwards and onwards to a brand new week.  Goals: I'd like to be able to use the treadmill.  Just a slow walk, but that's okay.  It's a good goal for me.

PS:  I went back to Kmart and got those smaller jeans (2 sizes), at FULL PRICE.  Along with new undies, and Tim got some clothes as well.  After the transaction, Kmart thanked me by adding $20 in points to my rewards card.

Oh yeah, it's gonna be a good week.

  5. Sometimes you just gotta have smaller jeans!

I did not GAIN weight while at Dragon*Con, so I am happy. I'm trying to eat more salad now, maybe that will help. And no, I refuse to juice it. I have my limits. :)

    1. Big congrats on not gaining this week. That is fantastic, and I thank you for sharing it with us.

I know, no juicing. I get it though. And really, you have to enjoy the taste of the lawn, to be a Happy Juicer.

  6. That is a completely awesome feeling isn't it? To be able to purchase new jeans 2 sizes smaller?? Congrats girl! I need to re-motivate myself to get back to being healthier or the 2 sizes smaller jeans I just bought are gonna get tight again! :(

    1. Don't let them get tight again. You can do it. I know it. You've already done so much, good.

Jeans are cool, but I tell ya, having the energy and not being in pain, tops the jean thing.

    Awesome! Good for you.

I seem to have hit a plateau. But at least I'm not putting back on the few lbs I've lost.

Thanks for sharing. I agree, plateau better than adding. Woohoo.

    1. Do you do the Rewards?

I love them. As long as the stuff I am buying is useful, prior to getting the rewards.

  13. have you ever tried wearing one of those magic belts for the aching back at work? I'm sure you have them in USA too. Kosmodisk and such stuff?

    1. I don't have back problems :) But I know that kosmodisk helps most people. Drivers, people who lift heavy things, older people, people who sit a lot... if you wear it, it helps, it's shaped like your spine actually and is invisible under the clothes.

    2. I Googled it. Thanks.

I have scoliosis on top of an injury. And the injury gets aggravated by my choice of work. When I'm not there, hardly any problems. And now that I'm down to part-time hours, it's gotten way better.

      Cheers and boogie boogie.

  14. Glad to hear that your schedule is being adjusted. That was really making your life harder than it needs to be.

Down 2 sizes is reason for celebration.

I won't be around much until the end of the month as the Spawn and I have begun to clear almost everything out of the house. Yeah, I'm even tossing out the furniture!

    1. are you still partying alone in the house, dear, or has the hubs come back from his sisters? :)

    2. Yeah, full time prep work really wasn't helping me, that's for sure.

Clearing out that house. I hope it goes smoothly for you. Cheers and boogie boogie.

  15. Paying full price is totally fine, especially when they give you $20 to do it! That is great!

Also, I posted a blog on Sunday but for some reason it is not appearing in blog rolls. It appears in my subscription list (yep, I subscribe to my own blog), but not on my blog roll. Not sure what is wrong or how to fix it. :(

    1. Ohhh, I didn't even see that. Will go back and look.

Wore the jeans yesterday. I gotta say, totally worth the $25 price tag.

    2. Glad you feel great in your jeans! Totally worth it.

Also just put up a new post and it looks like it is in the blog rolls. Don't know why but happy it works. Don't think Sunday's post ever showed up, but as long as the new ones do, that is fine by me. :)

    3. I did catch the next one. It showed up on my end. Don't know why Blogger gets wonky sometimes.

I feel good all around. Getting stronger each day. Soon hopefully to be exercising again.

      How goes your walking?

      Delete
    4. So glad you are getting stronger. I'm feeling great about my walking plan - can't believe it has already been 3 weeks of it. I walked less last week than the week before, but still more than the first week, so I'm happy with my progress. I really want walking to stick, so I'm celebrating when I do it, and not worrying if I don't reach the magic 10,000. I know I'll get there in time. Also this week I went walking with an audiobook and it was really enjoyable. Love adding variety to the walk. :)

    5. I was telling Tim that I cannot even believe that it's week three already (or seven since this is my second round). Went fast.

Your progress sounds great to me. Very neat about adding an audiobook. I might try that once I get back to using the treadmill.

  16. Yay for the new jeans! I be you just love them. It sound like you're doing so well, and as always, just a happy camper :)

Since last week, I'm back on my regular exercise routine, and feeling so good about it. I use the treadmill three times a week, and do toning exercises Monday to Friday. Weekends off, of course. Gotta take a break so it doesn't feel like a chore!

    1. Yeah, overall real happy with my progress. Even with the bumps along the way, it's been a fun ride.

BIG congrats on your exercise. I love hearing about what others are working on. And I agree, day off for rest so so so important.

Speaking of rest, I'm back from the doc's and about to make a pumpkin latte (homemade), and plop myself on the couch.

Thanks for sharing your exercise with us. Cheers and boogie boogie.
