I'm up 2.6 this week. After working three days all I want to do is get back to NOT being swollen. AND, I haven't been able to wear my wedding band, the last two nights to bed.
I look like this
Thankfully, I've got the next 3 days off to heal. And that's where my focus is today, day 23. Just to recover. Plus, I'm curious how long recovery takes, this time about.
I feel that it will take less time.
Meanwhile, my reboot ends Saturday, and on the 18th, I go another 28 days. Care to join me? 28 days of whatever you want to do. For me, more juicing and getting back to using Monster (that's our treadmill's name). I won't be doing any marathons anytime soon, but I miss walking.
So that's where things are at for me. How goes you?
You'll get those 2.6 pounds off this week!
ReplyDeleteI honestly, believe that. Especially with the three days off from work. Thanks.
DeleteThat's a bummer, but I'm pulling for you!
ReplyDeleteI put my Chubba Bubba Weigh-In gadget on my blog side-bar. I'm up 1 pound this week.
Oh my gosh, I just went over to see your gadget and I love it. That's so fun. I laughed at the grrr, part too.
DeleteI'm staying about even, running three miles per day and trying to eat healthy. I'll lengthen my workouts when I can this book done and off to my editor.
ReplyDeleteI miss jogging. Love it so much. Congrats to you and staying even. Woohoo.
DeleteHope your feeling healed very soon.
ReplyDeleteIan
Thanks, Ian. I rested all day Monday. Watched movies and snuggled with the pups.
DeleteThe one thing that bugged about that movie was Violet turnig violet. Violet is like a purple, that's blue.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Mister Quarter Century.
Deleteeye on the prize! i met the blueberry girl at a convention... she was a real treat!
ReplyDeleteThat is a real treat. Thanks.
DeleteA week away from home didn't do me any favors. I went up three pounds! It's back to work at the gym for me. Damn, I really missed that place!
ReplyDeleteIt is easier, I find when I'm home too.
DeleteRemember that overall you're still at a net loss of weight, but I know this is difficult.
ReplyDeleteThree days and you'll feel better I hope!
Very true, Anne. I probably would feel the best if I stopped working in a kitchen. Because when I'm away, my spine does much better and I'm not so dang whooped.
DeleteI bet when that swelling goes down so will the weight. That probably causes some of it. In any case, as long as you are working toward a goal, you're already one step forward. And your upbeat attitude is a huge bonus!
ReplyDeleteThank, Martha. I do have a good attitude about this, even when I'm whooped, because it's all like a big experiment and I enjoy those. On the whole, I've benefited more than I haven't, so that keeps me rolling.
DeleteThanks Whisk, you've inspired me to get back into juicing and healthy eating. Feeling full of energy already. It's great, especially with spring coming and time to start tending the garden again.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better real soon. Must be so frustrating for you. XX
Woohoo, go you. The energy really is amazing. And I get so much done around the house, too, when I'm feeling good.
DeleteHappy almost spring to you. And thanks for the nice comment. Hugs.
I agree with Martha; some of that weight is likely fluid. I hope the 3 days off helps!
ReplyDeleteHello Marcy and congrats again on your new job. Very excited for you.
DeleteThanks for the well wishes.
Hope you are better soon--it doesn't sound pleasant. Heal and recover fast!! (that's an order LOL)
ReplyDeleteThanks, sounds like good orders to me.
DeleteHope your healing time s lightening fast. I am down 3.2 pounds this week and I am SO EXCITED! Still walking my dogs and everyone is loving it. Also hoping that with my new work hours, I will be able to get more sleep and feel less sluggish. 9-5 is going to be AWESOME! Now, off for our walk before work. Have a fantabulous day!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear that you got first shift again. And a good night's sleep, oy, that helps me a ton too.
DeleteBIG CONGRATS on the 3.2 pounds :-)
Love your 28 day reboot. I would like to join you. I like to think I walk/cycle often, but without a plan I actually do it way less than I think (I can get distracted with other things!). I think a plan helps me stick to something (it worked for my blogging goals), so I'm going to join you and PLAN to walk/cycle daily. Not just when I think of it. All the best for reboot round 2!!! :)
ReplyDeleteCool beaners. Goals are fun, and if I break them into smaller bites (28 days), I usually reach where I want to go.
DeleteLooking forward to hearing more about your walk/cycle reboot. Thanks for playing.
The 18th it is! 9 pounds down but I've been stuck, so I need to change something up- might be adding weights to my exercise routine and finding a juicer!
ReplyDeleteHappy to have you be a part of our little Chubba Bubba Club. It's a nice group of people here. Welcome aboard.
DeleteGreat work on the 9 pounds. That's 36 sticks of household butter. Pretty damn good, you.
It's been 100 days of dieting, but I've lost 15lbs so far. But I guess slow is the way to go. :)
ReplyDeleteGood job, YOU :-)
DeleteSnuggling with the pups is always called for.
