Vomit Cone

After Wiggy threw up in her cone again this morning (she's all better now).  Followed by 17 days of wearing the cone, and Bug not allowed to play with her sister, somehow I'm being graced with a quiet afternoon.

In fact, it's well into the day and I'm still in my jams.

Absolute heaven.

So while one pup sleeps and the other works hard on her chewy, it's time to play in my lab.  Found a recipe for apple pizza, going to tinker with the formula and give it a go.

Have an oogie boogie day.

Hugs,
-Me

  1. Poor doggie - but awesome accessory. I need to start wearing a cone. I just have to be careful not to vomit in it.

  2. Alex: Right after she vomits, she always wants to give a puppy hug. Only she can't hug so well with that big-ass cone head of hers.

Hoping to have it off by the weekend.

  3. Sometimes dogs have it rough!
We've coned both of our dogs within the past 3 months. Good times!

  4. bliss: Oh no. Were they both at once?

  5. Poor little girl :(

Tell her uncle Bard sends her a puppy hug.

  6. Ohhhh, your doggie is so sweet. I totally want to scratch her ears and give her loves. LOL Glad she's feeling better. And apple pizza sounds delicious. Can't wait to find out how it went. ;D

  7. I work at a vet and we call those lampshades. Dogs that have surgery get them. I feel sorry for them; they look so sad. My dog had to wear one but he got over it pretty quick. He's not one to dwell. Hope Wiggy gets rid of the lampshade soon :)

  8. The cone of shame :(

Mom used to always say, "This too shall pass"

  9. My dog had one of these for an ear problem and spent his time sharpening the sides on concrete in the garden and trying to open the veins on my legs as he went by, have a good one Whisk and pet the dogs for me.

  10. I can't think of those cones the same since I saw them in the movie "Up."

  11. No, but one right after the other. It was almost like six weeks of cone-had dogs.

  12. Mucky. I don't envy you that cleaning as much as I envy you the rest of having Wiggy. That said, it seems worth it. The sooner that cone is gone the better - it's been a long time on. And I could go an apple pizza, experiment or no.

  13. Uncle Bard: Wiggy sends a vomit filled hug your way. She can't help it. She barfs and then wants a hug.

RaShelle: The apple pizza came out pretty darn good for a first draft. I tossed most of the recipe and used my way instead. But what was good was the idea for an apple pizza.

Kim: Yesterday was a pretty good day with both girls. They have to stay separated from each other and that's hard on them, as they get along quite well.

Lurker: Lolololololololol. She does the same to Tim.

Grumpy: That was a great movie.

    bliss: Six weeks. Oy.

Porky: I don't mind cleaning it up for her. She's a great pup. However, I could do without her wanting to hug me right after she tosses her cookies.

  14. That is one sad looking puppy!! Poor thing. The cone vomit doesn't sound too pleasant either... How did the apple pizza turn out?

  15. Lo-mo: I tossed the recipe from the food magazine and did it my way. Came out pretty good for a first draft. Draft two will have more cream cheese and more apples.

  16. I remember my puppy falling asleep while sitting up when he had to wear his lamp shade. It was so sad and so funny.

  17. Susan: Wiggy tries to snuggle while wearing the cone. Hard not to laugh when the dogs do funny things like that.
