I reward myself for going to the potty with a carrot.
All seriousness aside, we actually potty trained my daughter and a puppy at the same time. They were on the same schedule: Put the puppy outside and my daughter on the toilet. The puppy got a milkbone and my daughter a skittle. My daughter is now 18 years old and still has a special fondness for skittles.
Rusty: Great story about the potty training. So fun. And hey, getting them both trained at once, that's impressive.
Wish you were down here this weekend. The guys are at Rob's. Next time you gotta come down and I'll make you my famous Hungarian bean curd. Mmmm. Doesn't that sound yummy.
No? Well, maybe it doesn't *sound* yummy but I assure you it's good eats.
Barking Alien: This doesn't taste anything like bacon or steak. That's great stuff. Have you ever made homemade treats? I'll post about it when I get the ingredients.
mshatch: I'm not sure how much bigger she'll get. We have a small place and that was one of my concerns with her, but she is fitting in nicely. She crawls on my lap and curls like she's a real little thing. Cracks me up.
Well, I think I'll get into my jams now and find a movie to watch. Tim's gaming tonight and I want to wake early and get some stuff done tomorrow, since I didn't do crap, today.
Pat: Happy Mother's Day and wow, fruit. I believe it. Wiggy hasn't had that yet. But she's sure digging those ice cubs and carrots. Thinking about freezing a carrot, just to see.
Porky: Wiggy is so good and to pee for a carrot, well I had to write about it. Just got back from the market, walked her and at the end I told her to go pee, and she did. How about them apples?
Wait a minute, Tim gives you a carrot if you pee outside? I'm confused... ;)
ReplyDeleteI keep a bowl of carrots for myself for exactly the same reason. Better a carrot than a stick.
ReplyDeletebiopunk: Organic carrots at that. But since I give him Reese cups, it's only fair that I get a good treat too.
ReplyDeleteRusty: She likes sticks too. That's what gave me the idea for the carrot. That, and a friend of mine had a dog that loved carrots.

My dog is a true carnivore. She will take carrots, lettuce and the like in her mouth, walk away and then drop them somewhere and ignore them.
ReplyDeleteI can here her thinking, "Dad said this was a treat. This isn't a treat. This doesn't taste anything like bacon or steak."
