Two months ago put my hair in a ponytail, gave Tim my Gingher's, and he looped off 36cm. We've donated it to Locks of Love because they provide hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children, suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Locks of Love uses donated hair to create high-quality hair prosthetics, to kids under the age of 21, living in the US and Canada.
I love that they help these kids. And donating my hair felt really good. If you want to help too, please click donation details, to see if your hair qualifies.
Thanks for stopping by.
My daughter did this a few years ago. It's such a wonderful program!
ReplyDeleteMy sister did that a few years ago as well. Great program!
ReplyDeleteMy sister also did this a few years ago, it's a great cause to support!
ReplyDeleteI actually have a my pony tail sitting here in a plastic bag to be sent to Locks of Love. I cut it off a few months ago and I've been pathetically and embarrassingly lazy about getting it sent already. thanks for this post. it makes me want to get my arse in gear and send it already.
ReplyDeleteSweet!

I am currently growing my hair out to donate to Locks of Love. I've got one more year to go. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle - so nice to hear that you're growing your hair out for donation. Very cool. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and 3 kids did the same, but they all completely shaved their heads. It was a bit of a visual adjustment, with my wife and two daughters hairless for several weeks!
ReplyDeleteShaved their heads, that's wonderful. Oh my goodness. Very cool. Please tell her hello, from me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great cause! Thanks for stopping by my blog :)
