Welcome to a brand new season and while I know many didn't like winter, I gotta be honest, I loved it. Lots of good changes took place and I'm excited for the adventures to continue.
A fresh new season.
Pretty cool.
In other news, all my newer hobbies now have permanent homes and/or their own stations. There's still a few bits and bobs to donate and I never finished the tool closet (soon). And with that said, the Great Re-Declutter of 2026 is just about done and dusted.
Hot dog.

It's nice to hear of someone enjoying winter. I don't mind it if I can stay home in the warm, but here in Australia we don't get the ice and snow, so it really isn't too bad. For me frosty mornings are the worst, my lungs don't like air that cold and I get coughing fits. So I generally try to stay inside until around 9am.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard not to like it because there is so much of it. Might as well embrace it and enjoy the snuggly goodness of a quiet winter. Nice that you don't get ice. Is it autumn by you? Lungs and cold is something I can understand. Not a fun combo. Nice that you get to get out after 9. Happy Fall!
DeleteSounds all good to me. Enjoy your coming seasons.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret. Happy New Season to you as well.
DeleteGlad everything has its place. I didn't mind winter at all. We saw snow!
ReplyDeleteYes, me too, Alex. The new hobbies came in and not all of them had homes/work stations. Feel good.
DeleteHow cool that you saw snow this year!
I'm so pleased that spring is here, though winter doesn't seem to have been too bad this time, not much snow around here. Doesn't it feel good after a declutter, got to go through my craft room soon.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Jo. It does feel good. I declutter by category only so it feels good each time a catergory is done. Glad to hear that winter wasn't that bad this year. Happy, Happy Spring!
DeleteIt doesn't feel like Spring in England, its bloody freezing!!!
ReplyDeleteHope it warms up for you soon. Burrrr.
DeleteI love your sweet stick figure art. Glad you have finished your declutter project. Happy Spring :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise. Feels wonderful. Happy Spring. Though I do have to finish that tool closet. The good news is, the entire catergory is in one spot. Makes it easier.
DeleteThat's great! You have a great week in whatever direction it takes you :)
DeleteThanks! You toooooooo!! Here's to a kick-butt good week.
DeleteHow wonderful to have that job out of the way. I'm impressed. I can't even get myself to get started.
ReplyDeleteHey Ann! What's the thing holding back the most? I asked a few others here today and I've love to hear more of what makes it tough to start. I have a few ideas on how to help with that and will write about it in an upcoming post. Happy Spring!
DeleteHello Spring come on and visit with beautiful weather!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on our sheds this year after years of hubby's hobby of collecting scrap metal and other useful 'junk'.
Hi Val! Love that you're working on the sheds and that the scraps he knew/hoped you'd use when ready. That's a good story. Bittersweet for sure.
DeleteYes mam...Hello Spring and indeed it is definitely that around here. I love your talented new header and other pics Ivy. You are so talented. WOO HOO for you that you have accomplished a big task...feels good doesn't it? Happy Friday to you and I hope your season of Spring is so very colorful.... hugs.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back from Ireland. What a treat! So glad you got to go and that Sam had company when you were away. Perfect.
DeleteThank you, yes, it feels real good. Did this back in 2016 and that was very, very large amount out the door. I think moving forward I'll do this sooner than a decade.
Happy Spring!
Happy spring to you also Ivy. I love the big bouquet you are sharing with us. Winter was ok for awhile, but I need it to end now. Send some good energy that it will, OK? Smile. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Erika! Happy Spring and thank you. I'll teleport you some of my energy in 3...2...1...
DeleteI don't mind winter, except when the weather gets frigid. For the most part, this past season wasn't too bad.
ReplyDeleteExcellent that you season wasn't too bad. Frigid can be rough. We've had it so cold that many in our area had frozen on the inside windows and doors, plus nasty cold winds. Burrrrr.
DeleteYou got a jump on Spring Cleaning, that's for sure! Happy First Day of Spring, Ivy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, Debra!!!!!
DeleteGood for you for decluttering. I am working away on it. Still have an area to go through that I am dreading. At least my fabrics are sorted and organized so I feel good about that! Happy first day of spring- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteLove that your fabrics are all set and working well for you. What area are dreading? I'd love to hear more about it. Happy Spring to you too!
DeleteI like winter but then I don't need to drive in it. We are having spring weather for now. With March we never know. I have plans to start on the clutter but never seem to do it. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteTrue. When I don't have to drive that makes a HUGE difference as well. I get that. Same with March and even snow storms in April. I'm thinking ONE MORE BIGGIN' will hit my area.
DeleteWhat holds you back from a declutter? What's the sticking point that comes first to mind?
Very cool post!
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks, Anne.
DeleteI love Florida winter, but not REAL winter... but I also HATE Florida SUMMER, but its only 3 months MOST of the time. I too am almost done with declutter. I have 3 of 4 closets that actually have left over room for anything. like the hall closet now holds my handy dandy Precious Leaf Blower. I love that thing and have not missed a day since I got it using it.
ReplyDeleteBeen many, many years since I've visited Florida. Your winters are nice just in a different way. I love that. Excellent work on the closets! And Precious. I'm so glad you got her. Very good story.
DeleteI like your new banner! We're having a nice spring so far. 90 degrees. Its been wonderful. But it's not a done deal yet - our official rainy season still has a few more weeks to go and that's fine, too! Happy Spring, Ivy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debby! 90 degrees. Wow, Wow. That sounds lovely. Same here, not a done deal yet. More snow on the way. Followed by lots of mud. I'll take it! Happy Spring.
DeleteWelcome spring! And a big three cheers on the decluttering. I plug away -- but a lot slower and with less commitment and diligence than you!
ReplyDeleteI tell you, Jeanie. I'm a very slow worker and often take create something breaks. Nothing wrong with slow as long as there's movement.
DeleteAbsolute Kudos to you for getting the Great Declutter done!!!
ReplyDeleteAfter our weeding gets done ... well not done ... but under control and before it gets too hot ...then the big drawer declutter will begin. If we can sell more eBay stuff that will help 100%.
Love your new banner and a Happy Spring to you too.
Sue
Hey, look at this! Is this the comment that went missing? It wasn't in my spam folder until just right now. Where did it go before that? Great deal on selling stuff on eBay. That sounds very cool. I'm headed over to your blog now to tell you that this comment magically showed back up.
DeleteCongrats on the declutter
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks.
DeleteHappy Spring to you too!!! You've done so well with your projects and getting them done!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy, Happy Spring!
DeleteDear Ivy, I love your art. Happy Spring. ❤️ Here in Montreal today it is snowing. I honestly don't mind, just taking each day as it comes.
ReplyDeleteThat's what it's like here too. We'll have more snow and likely at least one good storm. Happy Spring, Linda.
DeleteWell done on the de-clutter.
ReplyDeleteI do like your art ... lots of Happy Spring Wishes are coming your way.
All the best Jan
Thank You, Jan! Happy Spring to you as well.
DeleteHappy Spring and Happy De-clutter! Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI love idea of stations, it's got my brain gears turning.
It helps keep things tidy and also really easy to just go play. I love a good station.
DeleteYes, I am actually still trying to find places for my newer hobbies and really need to get using or donating a few items from the sewing/craft room.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Donating the craft stuff you don't use sounds like a great idea. Oh yeah, I tell you, it's soooo nice to have homes for the many, many hobbies in this house. Just makes life simple, easy and fun.
Deleteawwww bits and bobs, how fun!! i love all seasons including winter BUT i am ready for spring!! fun new neader!!
ReplyDeleteIt's a saying we use around here, often. Happy Spring! Such a fun season of newness.
DeleteSounds like your spring de-clutter is done just in time for spring. Love your pretty drawing of the colorful spring flowers.
ReplyDeleteMuch, much thanks, Judee.
DeleteThat banner is like medicine. :)
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks and Happy Spring.
DeleteWell done on the declutter. I don't mind winter because it gives me the time to quilt and knit.
ReplyDeleteThose are fun. For me year-round. But I get that some only do it during colder days. Happy Spring.
DeleteHigh Fives to you on the declutter. We are working on ours this year too. We are doing really well, I am so happy about it.
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks, Carla. WIshing you a fun declutter. So good to shake things off.
DeleteLove the new banner... now, if only spring would get the message and arrive!
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne. Much thanks! Hope spring hits there soon. Had snow yesterday and Thursday will be hot. That's spring, eh.
DeleteWell, hello Spring to you too !!
ReplyDeleteI thought I had commented but I guess it disappeared or something.
Love your banner and how you see life.
Congrats on the Great Declutter of 2026 !!
Kudos to you !!
Sue
Hi Sue. I checked the spam folder and nothing there. Though I did post more than once last week so that might have tripped things up too. Wishing you a wonderful spring!
DeleteYaaaay, your de-cluttering is finished! I am always finding things to give away that I don't really need or want anymore. It's so good to hear you love winter.....me too! A delightful spring Header you have on here this Monday morning. Have a good remainder of March.
ReplyDeleteThanks, yeah, just about. Still have to drop off some donates and then do the tool closet category but that won't take long. Happy Spring to you! Love how creative and talented the girls are.
DeleteLove your new header...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by "My Mind's Eye"
Hugs Cecilia
Hi Cecilia. What a pretty name!
DeleteI'm incredibly late for the spring party. Love your new banner. Congrats on the de-clutter. It always feels so much better once it's done, doesn't it? I'm thrilled for you. I hope your week is going well.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Fun season. Love it being almost nearly done. Still gotta drop the donates off and then do a quick tools catergory dust off. Hope the week is rocking where you are.
DeleteGlad your winter was a productive, good one! Onward with spring and all the new things :
ReplyDeleteIt whooshed past. Happy new season to you too, Michelle.
DeleteWonderful to declutter. Good for you!

DeleteCongratulations, Ivy! Love the new header!!
ReplyDeleteMuch thanks, Jeanna!
DeleteHello Ivy! I'm glad you had a nice winter, but honestly, I was happy to say bye-bye to winter. Yay for spring!! Have a great week.
