I'm glad you have used the fabric and not just looked at. I have some fabric I'm just looking at and have been for a long time - oh well someday I will make something :)
Really like the new header, Ivy, and you are definitely in a Spring mode now. I agree that winter was nice but ready for it to leave as slowly it’s that here in NH. I missed keeping up with blog posts last week because of a stomach bug, so have back reading to do.
I am joining the hoards of followers who want to know what you are making out of Snoopy Fabric.... I love your sewing machine sketch and did you know your cottontail is showing? your drawings always make me SMILE, Always!!!!
So far I've made reusable makeup remover pads and dish washing towels. Both very fun and so easy to toss in the wash with regular stuff. Really love it. Pictures to come. Hahahaha on my cottontail showing. lololol.
Love the bunny ears and sewing machine. Congrats on using the Snoopy fabric. I don't hoard fabric, but I have somehow accumulated bits of it. Now I ned a way to use it.
Happy Easter🐰Do you use make-up remover pads? I made Snoopy ones. Very fun. Washable. I also made reusable dish washing towels with Snoopy and then some pink fabric with daises. Really fun. What kind of fabric did you accumulate?
My sewing friends give me bits and pieces of fabric left over from their projects. Most are in the 2 to 3 inch range. Some day I will find a way to use them. I sew paper to paper and make books I call scrappy or visual journals. Also, I use only variegated thread. You can check my visual journals out here: https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/search/label/visual%20journal
You posted an adorable bunny girl. I love how you create these drawings. Speaking of material...I know nothing about fabrics. I was having a special "Senior" skirt designed for Mylee (our graduating senior) and you would not believe how much wasted material I now have. I bought 4 yards when I should have bought 1. lol... I have to laugh at myself because I know nothing about sewing, patterns or material. Happy Easter Ivy.
Love that you jumped in. Fun! Hey, better to have a little extra of the material you like for the skirt. As for it being wasted, you might be able to make reusable makeup remover pads or little dish washing clothes. That's what I did with Snoopy. Happy Easter 🐰🐣PS: What did you decide to do about the camera for shooting graduation?
Hi Sue. Glad to read that you're up and breathing again. I will post the Snoopy. I made reusable makeup remover pads and dish washing towels. Happy Easter to you my friend as well. I've truly enjoyed seeing photography and reading your words 🩷🐰
Happy Easter! The only problem with using something up is wondering whether to buy more or not. Personally I don't think you can ever have enough Snoopy anything.
Hey Jo! The last three trips to get fabric I didn't get any because they didn't have what I wanted for a project so that's how I decide to buy new or not. Now had they had the stuff I was looking for, bing, bam, boom. In the bag and home I go.
crafts bring on addictions!! mine is yarn...i have so much yarn, i will never use all of it!! happy easter, i hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
Loved that big tree you shared with the decorations. What a fun thing to do each holiday. Yarn, I no longer have a lot of. Donated half of it recently and then a decade ago, I had to donate all of it because my hands were not liking it. The yarn I kept this time though, is this really, really nice cotton that is good on my hands. I don't want to adopt hobbies. Use it and done. Then buy more.
Snoopy is great fun and I'm ready to have it all used up and done. Fun to get to the next pattern. Though they have other Snoopy stuff too, which is fun if I ever wanna do a Snoopy patch quilt.
Good for you using up what you have and not just storing the fabric. Wishing you a very happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judee. Happy holidays to you!
DeleteAdoption? Clever! I know (and love) two sewing enthusiasts and that is definitely the best way to describe how much they love their fabric.
ReplyDeletelol yes. I'm not adopting fabric or yarn. Thanks. Happy Weekend.
DeleteHappy Easter! I'd like to see some of the Snoopy things.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Ginny 🐰Snoopy photos on the way.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret. Much more fun to use it all up. Then get more to use up. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. What are you thinking of making?
DeleteThat's great that you're using up the fabric that you have. Im always reluctant to cut into new fabric for fear of messing it up.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter
