Thanks, Ginny! The rolls were tasty though when we used them as sandwich rolls the tops sorta didn't stay all the way together. Was tasty though. And fun. Wishing you a groovy weekend.
Gooood Morning! I love, love, love all kinds and sizes of Mason jars. Though I do break many. Glad you found something that works well for you too! Thanks for stopping in and wishing you a yummy weekend.
Hi Alex! The jars change out depending on what's being made the most (as I have many, many other jars off to the side pantry shelf). In these jars we have strong flour, sprouted wholemeal spelt, corn flour, a gluten free bean based flour, 00 flour, homeground bean flours, three kinds of salt, including fart salt. Very, very fun to play!
Just got back from your blog and my heart goes out to you both. So glad he's feeling better and wow, wow, how cool that you got to make him food from home. This is a wonderful, wonderful thing. I don't even know if I would have thought of that so thank you my friend. I've enjoyed getting to know you on the blog. So fun!!!!!
I left you a candle report and I tell you what? I cannot, cannot wait until day 14 to light sugar cookie. The sale for wax is still going on two more days this week and I might pop in for one more brick. Though for the scent, I might wait (since it's not part of the sale), to see how the sugar cookie does.
Cute new models, Ivy, and are those pretzel rolls with sesame seed toppings? And, I too am curious about the jar contents, perhaps various flours for baking bread and making pasta?
Hi Beatrice. These are plain rolls with sesame however ... as I was making them I thought this would be fun for a pretzel as well. Pretzels are a lot of fun to make though I find best to eat fresh. Leftover or at least mine, the pretzel salt starts to eat at the dough and the overall leftover not so yummy.
Fresh homemade pretzels though are HEAVEN!

Thanks, Debra. That little Wonder Woman really does mean business. Thanks, that's my dough station and work bench. Recently got taller legs and it's just wonderful now. So fun! Happy Weekend!
Fabulous new Banner and look at you go.....you are so organized. Very Impressive Ivy. My mouth is watering just looking at those rolls....Looks like 2026 Wonder Woman has everything covered for the year.
Thanks, Shug. I'm getting there with the other work stations in the house. Almost there. So close! But yeah, the dough bench ROCKS. Thanks for stopping in. I read your post the other day and I'm glad you were able to be there for your daughter. Very, very cool.
super girl has attitude, I see with your jars there is only ONE WHISK! what's up with that? ha ha ha.... I have been craving a real biscuit, the old time kind, big and fluffy. the rolls will do, if you can send one through the transporter.
I do love rows of sparkling jars of stuff all neat and tidy. My pantry is mostly plastic containers, not as heavy as jars which is better for older people like me. If we drop one, there's no broken glass to accidentally step on. Vey cute Wonder Woman.
Thanks, River. Yes, I agree about the glass. And I've broken many even the lighter smaller ones. I break a lot of stuff in my kitchen. Just sorta the way of things. That said, there are some excellent plastic and lighter options on the market. With fun lids too!
Wonder woman is who I feel like I need to be right now. Your new header and photo are inspiring me. Your wallet ack for hanging your cooking tools reminds me of the one JUlia Child had that I saw years ago at the Smithsonian. Hope you're staying warm and having a super week. hugs-Erika
Hey Erika! That's where we got it from the queen herself, Julia! Been up for awhile though the higher legs on the bench is new. How cool that you got to go and see her stuff like that. LOOOOVE that. Wishing you a good solid day. Huggs, back.
Thank you for asking. Upcoming video with these soon. Just worked on it today. Sesame seeds rock. Also made a mini hot dog roll with the same formula. So fun! Recipe coming ... ☺️
It was soooo good. I eat veggie dogs but regular will work too. Took some pictures and haven't looked at them yet. Excited to see how the videos and stills came out. Wishing you a yummy weekend ahead. Stay warm!
You my Dear are definitely Wonder Woman ! I love everything about this post and the jars all in a row look so organized. Happy Macro photography ... Those rolls are making me drool ! Sue
Hi Sue. Was happy to read that your son was okay. That sounded scary and I wondered if the person behind him was texting. Glad he made it home safe and sound ❤️
That little girl with the elephant and phone is so cute! My son collects these little characters! The buns look like a beautiful magazine ad. New banner too!
Hi Val! That's the girl from Poltergeist. One of my top four movies! Thanks so much for the kind words about the photography. Loved your mask for the cold walk by the way. Those braids! So cute.

Oh I remember Wonder Woman from my childhood with Lynda Carter. Those rolls look delicious, they look just the thing to have with a bowl of warming soup.
Those rolls look so good. I think I could have one (or three) with just a dab of butter alone. It look like sesame seeds on top? That polka dot elephant is darling. I'm a polka dot girl, so I noticed it right away. And I remember her from the Island of Misfit toys. ; )
I hope the remainder of your January days are pleasant ones.
It is yes, sesame seeds. A fun little add. The Island of Misfit Toys! Yes. I wish they sold the little girl too with this set. Thank you. Here's to the rest of your January as well. My gosh, it went fast! Whoosh.
The rolls do look tasty! There's nothing as satisfying as a pillowy soft roll! Sweet little toys, too. I am always collecting jars, and my husband doesn't understand why and throws them in the recycle bin behind my back. So, I have to hide them until I find something he likes to eat to put inside them! Glad that January is going by fast. x K
Hi Karen and Happy Happy Birthday. Looks like a wonderful time was had by all at your party. Very, very cool.
Jars here too! Just got three new ones over the weekend. They are crazy fun. lol on your hubby. I grew up saving all our jars and I still save most now. They are fun. So I can totally relate to your love of jars. They rock!
thanks for the love and comment on my post of a cry for help. all the comments have made me feel better already, I did not cry for the hour it takes to get the three of us up each day. I have cried the entire hour each day for four days. I think spewing it all out on the blog and to the PA helped release the pressure pot of steam. I took the first pill about an hour ago, will take it with my first cup of coffee each day... I am ok and already feeling better. talking does help.... and hearing all the positive comments really helps...
It really does help to talk things out. I agree with that for sure and I hope your new method and meds helps you. You really are stronger than you know. What you're going through is not easy and it's just kinda a lot for sure. You are, as I believe you to be, even with the tears (nothing wrong with crying), you are Wonder Woman! Truly.
Love the pics and that roll is shouting at me to take a bite! Love the organization with the jars. I'm reorganizing my basement food storage area and you've given me some ideas here! The sun is out this morning but very cold and we got about a foot of snow all total yesterday. Oh well, it's winter in Ohio! Have a good week!
Burrr. Yes, the season of winter. I don't have to go out today so that helps. Thanks about the rolls and the jars. Love that you have a basement. That's one thing I miss having. So good for food storage and other things. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. Cheers!
Love jars too! And metal canisters. My pantry is full of them, and of course the root cellar is too. Thanks for finding my blog! I think we are kindred souls, although I doubt i could ever make such pretty rolls.
I would love to see the deer sometime around your neck of the woods. I usually get a pic or two, but these two just stood for a moment, and then went off into the woods. I see them in my neighborhood, especially at Fall, and even on my front lawn! They are such special animals, and I'm glad you see them around your area too. I don't have an Aldi here, but looking forward to seeing your mushroom Valentine. ; )
Love that they stood still. Pretty creatures. Same, they are in our front garden, back of the woods and go up to the bird feeder next door. How they reach, I dunno but they do. Ohhh, on the ALDI. Okay, I might have forgotten that. Grocery Outlet you have, us too. I like the odd bits and bobs that show up there. I like to go and walk around. Mushroom Valentine coming up! If I could, I'd telaport you one.
Beau is sick, same thing he went to ER the last day of 2024, Oct of 2025 and now Jan 27, 2026. vomiting and bloody diarrhea. I took him to ER at 6:30 AM and he got the shot for nausea and one for dishes and they last 24 hours and 2 meds for home, antibiotics and anacids for upper GI. he is conked out and hasn't moved, we were out most of the night in the 38 degrees winds gusting to 20, FREEZING for FLORIDA Cold. I am exhausted, IBS went in to high gear, new lexarpro med has ears ringing like church chimes, . Hi How are you bra ahahaha
Oh my goodness, this is too sad. I'm so so so so so sorry that Beau is sick again. My heart breaks for you guys and the pup. I can understand that is cold for you guys in the south. Burrr. Makes it harder I feel like. Will the ear ringing go away after some time? I hope so. My goodness, Sandra. This is a whole lot. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it better for you. Huggs and love your way.
The rolls look absolutely perfect, like in a food magazine shoot. The Superwoman looks like no one better mess with her!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginny! The rolls were tasty though when we used them as sandwich rolls the tops sorta didn't stay all the way together. Was tasty though. And fun. Wishing you a groovy weekend.

Crazy fun.
The rolls look yummy and now I'm feeling hungry.
ReplyDeleteHope you and D feel all the way better SOOONNNN! Thanks on the rolls. Fun to make though the tops did fall apart a bit when used as sandwich bread.

ReplyDeleteIt's true, I only have one whisk. Though I am often tempted to get one of those teeny tiny ones that are so stinkin' cute.
DeleteCountry biscuit sounds good, if that's the kind you mean. I enjoy those too!
Sending them through the transporter in 3 ... 2... 1...
You ARE a wonder woman!
